spence has bad fundamentals. horrid balance, got dropped with jab because had all weight on front foot, leans in front of lead foot, keeps head on line and is slow. when he fought the slow b- level fighters like Danny Garcia and Mikey Garcia etc, he could get by with it. when the pbc got infiltrated by the superior Crawford, he paid for it all. and his trainer is a hype job as well. if ref hadn't stepped in at that moment, Spence was getting put asleep hard. there's alot in boxing that the purest know, and the ones who love only a promotion etc just don't see. because that isn't a boxing fan

I insist that the stoppage had everything to do with Kenny Porter's own ego and not about saving his son from damage. Shawn Porter was getting frustrated and got dropped when he got loose on defense, but he was not anything close to being out on his feet or done when Kenny stopped it in the 10th round. Kenny Porter stopped that fight because his own ego (as a self-proclaimed elite trainer) could not take the beating it was getting from Crawford outboxing his son. That was the most important fight in Shawn's career and he earned the right to finish it, but as Kenny openly admitted post-fight, he stopped it to punish Shawn for not preparing in training the way he wanted him to. Thankfully for Ken Porter, he has a humble, dutiful son who loves and forgives him.

So then James is a pos trainer who let his fighter take more punishment to prove a point? Gotcha

And I still stand by Kenny stopped it cause he knew his son was gonna get punished. At that point, regardless if Sean didnt train well, he was gettin tagged at will and wouldve been ko'd eventually. Crawf priced he has more dog in him than any welterweight who fought him and those who ducked him

Referee Harvey Dock saved Spence’s life, trainer Derrek James is not only an overrated hyped trainer, he’s nowhere near the quality of BoMac, trainer or person..

What at all did I say about James? Kenny Porter admitted that he planned to throw the towel on his son, even before the fight started. He said he wasn’t happy with the way Shawn trained and he smugly admitted that he planned to stop the fight as soon as Shawn started to struggle. That is a s****y arrogant trainer who thinks he’s more important than the fighter.

you just described Derrick James to a T. Fool was all up in his feelings. Talkin mad sh.it about Crawf, his family and BoMac. Although i hate to see the majority of fighters gettin beat down like Spence did, James was made to look like an @ss of immense proportions all the while not doina damn thing to help his fighter. Sh.it, at a certain point, he stopped getting into the ring in between rounds.

Just a correction - PAC fought Margarito at 150 Ibs AND Margarito had been brutalized by Mosley AND it was for a vacant title.
Thst was just an opportunity to give PAC another title at 154 when it really wasn’t

That would be equivalent to say, Inoue jumping to 130 to fight for a vacant 135 Ibs title against Broner.

Well, all I can do is speak for myself and I must admit that I was wrong about Terence Crawford. Bud impressed the Hell outta me with his dominating performance over Errol Spence, Jr.

Not only did he prove that he was a helluva fighter and a helluva champion but also a helluva man. I am very proud of his ring performances, success and achievements. His performance left me in a complete awe!

I watched the fight as an Errol Spence fan and left as a fan of them both. Crawford's performance was eerily and similarly reminiscent of Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather's dominating performance against the undefeated Diego Corrales.

I am very proud to eat my humble pie.

Derrick James and Robert Garcia are the two most overrated trainers in the sport right now.

Yeh i get what you saying. But fighting big ass margarito is still pretty brave in my book. High risk little reward i know i know. I know people give pac massive credit for the performance, but its still not great because of the circumstances, i get it.
