apparently some people that just started watching boxing the past 10 years think a 35 year old welterweight would run thru the 90s welterweights, in which a lot of them were in their 20s and primed.

I've been watching boxing for 30-35 years and bud crawford would give any former welterweight a run for their money. Only emotional bias people would say otherwise. The man's got everything. He's strategic, great counter puncher, he can brawl when he needs to. He's got all the goods give the man his credit

On paper of course Floyds resume is better. I havent really seen anyone say otherwise? Even though in reality that resume is not as good as people say due to his selective timing.

We're just talking about how good we think Bud is, in terms of being a fighter and skills. And I think he's better than Floyd, and Floyd was obviously one of the best of his era. Even if he has almost lost at least a couple of fights, and a buncha lackluster fights where his scoring werent even real punches, just touches. Whereas Bud woulda knocked out Oscar.

As for Bud being selective, he fought the best fighters he could get his hands on. PBC refused to let any of their fighters fight him, so there is context and nuance to the argument

he's 35. He's 35 and dominated a 33 year old. Age matters. Hopkins did some great things at 175. He's my favorite fighter of all time, but Mathew Saad Muhammad in his prime isn't losing to a 40+ year old light heavyweight. And neither is Bob Foster. Though Hopkins is better than both all time, they would seriously beat the hell out of hopkins at 175 worse than Kovalev before stopping him. Skillwise, Bud is great. He's accomplished a lot, but he's 35 and he just beat another guy at 33. Both Leonard and Hearns are younger than them in their REMATCH 8 YEARS LATER!!!!

This is ridiculous. Why are people acting like Spence was a prime Sugar Ray Robinson? Crawford won a fighter over a good welterweight. He didn't beat a hall of famer. He beat a good fighter. Stop the cape. He's not the first person to look impressive beating a B level fighter.

A B level fighter because of 1 loss? Damn, people are hard to please. Spence had 3 belts that he won from 3 different champions, and now that he takes his first loss to a great champion, he's being called a b level fighter? Fans and trolls are really delusional and sick minded people.

Check my posts. I told u co.ksuckers what was gonna happen that Errol waa going to be hurt bad. Idk why ppl said Errol was the puncher. Yes Errol can thump- if u stand there and let him beat on u. I knew that wasn't about to happen. Now u same dudes that were riding the Errol bandwagon are saying Errol was washed up and over rated, that he was damaged goods. But he was actually a certifed bone breaker. Broke bones faces, eye sockets, ribs of many top fighters. So never discredit this man whatsoever. That minimizes Bud's accomplishments. When u knock his victory, do it while looking in the mirror, so u can see what kinda piece of sh.t u are, always criticizing and downplaying hard work and success. Bud came ready and did his job. No matter what Spence showed up, this was always going to be the outcome. And this is why Al Haymon and Fraud always blocked this fight for YEARS, because they always knew what was gonna happen if Errol and Bud met. Its that simple

I'm still rocking with Errol. No excuses, just work, determination, preparation, and ready to run it back at 154 by the end of the year.

Congratulations to Mr Crawford, he's a great champion and special talent. I knew that it would take something spectacular, as far as performance, and magnificent, as far as the fighter, to beat one of my favorite fighters. That being said, no excuses, Mr Man Down has requested a chance to get his lick back before the end of the year at 154? Hopefully, The Big Fish will be better prepared for the task and talent , and we will see them lace them up again with a different outcome. I'm rocking with Errol, Strap Season!

There is no such as “selective timing”. I’m pretty sure you’ll have something and examples to say about that but I will remind you that as you astutely stated, there is “context and nuances” that’s always left out when that accusation is thrown around.
As you know, I’m boxing, 1+1 is never 2 because of the nuances we both know of. PAC easily destroyed Hatton but could never beat Floyd at any given time while it took Floyd 10 rounds to put the guy away.
