Difference between want and need. He wanted it but he only fights in his terms. He has two promoters willing to throw $100 million plus at him and a choice of who he can fight.
What options does Bivol have to make anywhere near what he makes against Canelo?
Now money may not be his main motivation and that’s all well and good but that doesn’t mean he has any leverage on how that fight happens.

And this is why boxing is a joke. Bivol wasn’t in a position to dictate anything and the A side moved on.

canelo calls the shots really, he refused the fight at 168, he refused to offer bivol more cash for the rematch which would be normal after losing the first, winner does not get same terms, bivol told him to get lost, canelo if he wanted the fight could have made it in a heartbeat, he refused at his weight and knew offering same terms was a back hand insult basically and may well end up with bivol walking away, now bivol could have called his tactics and made it on the same terms but for his reasons decided it was not right for him, what the reasons are i dont know
