My only problem with him is how criminally high fans like you overrate him and the fact that his decision makers Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach and Bob Arum claim he's the best in the world but will never let him fight the top WW's in a million years. Outside of that i think he's an exciting fighter who deserves credit for how far he's gone given the amount of skill he possesses.
Um, isn't he about to fight Miguel Cotto? The same Miguel Cotto that beat the guy currently considered the best at welterweight, Shane Mosley? And therefore is arguably the best welterweight in the world? Who do you consider a top WW if Cotto isn't one?

He's far ahead of your boy Pretty Boy when it comes to fighting top welterweights. You lose credibility with every post.

You do realize that 51 of his 54 fights were below 130, right? Only ONE fight he had was at Welterweight, and for that fight he came in at 142.

Focus on your own fighter and the reasons why he won't face top Welterweights before you criticize others who until a year ago were three divisions below Welterweight.

Marquez and Manny fought at 130 and below. I can explain the dynamics of the different weight classes between mayweather/marquez at 147 and Manny/marquz at featherweight, but you probably wouldnt understand anyway.

You're thinking short term, that no soul having crook Bob Arum has been around the block a few times and he understands that one big pay day where Pac loses (and probably made to look extremely bad in the process) would derail the Manny hype machine and sink the amount of money team Pac would make in the future.

Not to mention Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach's Wild Card gym is way more busy when he has the illusion of having one of the best fighters in the world training there. He understands what the effect of Pac losing in embarrassing fashion to Mayweather would be, which is why i find it very hard to see how this fight will ever get made.

But realistically, this guy doesnt belong anywhere near the top of the P4P list and i think the reason he's so keen on retiring soon is because he knows he's been lucky in his past few fights (the decision going to him when Pee pee mouth Marquez clearly beat him and the fact that Oscar gave the fight to him on a silver platter by coming in extremely drained) and he wants to hang up the gloves while he's still at the top so he can pursue other opportunities and enjoy being looked at as a god in the Phillipennes.

Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach and that old crook Bob Arum (aka Manny's decision makers) understand this, and that's why they wanna shield him from Mayweather at all costs so they can continue the illusion that he's on Floyd's level without ever having to prove it. Like i'v stated in the past, after the Cotto fight (if Pac wins and that's a big if) you're gonna hear Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach make up some story about how Floyd was being difficult with the negotiations asking for too much money, and that's the reason why the fight fell through. A cheap excuse to rob the fans of the fight Boxing desperately needs that you can already see Freddie and Arum setting up in their more recent interviews.

Bottom line, Manny "I have other people make my decisions for me" Pacquiao doesnt even break the top 5 in terms of skill and ring intelligence which is why Manny's decision makers will never let him fight Mayweather or Mosley. There are plenty of other fighters who deserve to be ranked higher then Manny in the P4P list, and the fact that you all bought into that no soul having crook Bob Arum's empty claims and the HBO hype machine to allow Manny to have that top spot is a slap in the face to boxing and all the fighters who are more deserving. I can't wait to watch Pacs fans world come crumbling down after Cotto exposes him.

              I think Pacquiao is UNDERRATED.

He's already a 2 Division Champion before anybody noticed him outside of hardcore fans.

I say underrated because right now only about 98% of the boxing community has him at #1 p4p.

Well I agree hes overrated but only to a certain extent. I like manny as a fighter, hes exciting and has alot of guts. But most of his greatest accomplishments have been a case fo fighting the right person at the right time. Wins against future HOFs like Barrera, Morales, DLH all came while their career was on a down slide and they were clearly past prime. His first 30 or so fights were all in the philippines, and his first 2-3 titles were won there. Some of the guys he defeated had double digit loss records, hell he even beat a guy who was 31-30. But so many people bring up the fact that he has "risen 6 weight classes" as a claim to his greatness but if you look at the numbers and opponents he does nothing worth noting until Barerra. Theres nothing overrated about his heart, skills and competetive spirit, its just that his accomplishments are taking for more than what they should be.
