Right, because coming back after a 2 year hiatus to fight the #2 ranked P4P fighter in the world is really playing it safe.

That whole weight issue is a cop out anyways and it shows how soft boxing fans are today. Here's some boxing trivia for you: Did Sugar Ray Robinson cry like a girl and make excuses about his weight after he moved from WW to MW and got beat by Jake Lamotta for the first time in his career, or like the champion he was did he rise past all that, come back stronger and go onto beat Lamotta 5 times?

He beat him in the rematch only 4 weeks later and then beat him four more times after that.

And you make it sound like that's an achievement. He looked fabulous but let's not looked past that he fought a very sluggish light-weight champion in Juan Manuel Marquez.

A very sluggish champion who brought Manny Pacquiao to the verge of death on 2 seperate occasions and arguably beat him twice.

Let's be clear, Marquez is a beast of a fighter and is a top contender at WW. He's ranked #3 P4P deservingly and i'll guaruntee you he gives any other fighter at WW a run for their money. Don't be fooled by the clinic Floyd put on, he's just that good.

It's no secret that Pac is an entertaining fighter to watch and he deserves credit for a couple of good wins that he has in his career. But realistically, this guy doesnt belong anywhere near the top of the P4P list and i think the reason he's so keen on retiring soon is because he knows he's been lucky in his past few fights (the decision going to him when Pee pee mouth Marquez clearly beat him and the fact that Oscar gave the fight to him on a silver platter by coming in extremely drained) and he wants to hang up the gloves while he's still at the top so he can pursue other opportunities and enjoy being looked at as a god in the Phillipennes.

Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach and that old crook Bob Arum (aka Manny's decision makers) understand this, and that's why they wanna shield him from Mayweather at all costs so they can continue the illusion that he's on Floyd's level without ever having to prove it. Like i'v stated in the past, after the Cotto fight (if Pac wins and that's a big if) you're gonna hear Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach make up some story about how Floyd was being difficult with the negotiations asking for too much money, and that's the reason why the fight fell through. A cheap excuse to rob the fans of the fight Boxing desperately needs that you can already see Freddie and Arum setting up in their more recent interviews.

Bottom line, Manny "I have other people make my decisions for me" Pacquiao doesnt even break the top 5 in terms of skill and ring intelligence which is why Manny's decision makers will never let him fight Mayweather or Mosley. There are plenty of other fighters who deserve to be ranked higher then Manny in the P4P list, and the fact that you all bought into that no soul having crook Bob Arum's empty claims and the HBO hype machine to allow Manny to have that top spot is a slap in the face to boxing and all the fighters who are more deserving. I can't wait to watch Pacs fans world come crumbling down after Cotto exposes him.

I think many of the fans overrate him but that's about it I'm getting a little bit irritated by the sudden rise of excuses for pac in the mayweather fight after Sep 19th and by fans all of the sudden saying if Pac retires now he has solidified himself greater than Floyd and has nothing to prove. I think manny still has some to prove and to say that is being no better than the guys who don't want Mayweather to fight Moseley and/or Cotto. You guys should hold every fighter to the same standard. Just like Mayweather pac is a WW now and you guys revere him as the best so he needs to fight the best and so does floyd.

There is no scientific way to measure skill and ring intelligence, so how can you say he dont break your top 5 in these areas?????

One of the very few mayweather fans by any chance?! a fighter that wins titles in many divisions like pac has is over rated?! lol. its a sad state of affairs for boxing if a multiple world champ in multiple divisions is over rated! **** by your reckoning, most fighters out there are bums then seen as tho pac has accomplished more than most! i think your just a lil pissed coz pac has dismanted oscar and hatton alot easier than mayweather. and that pac will step out of the comfort zone and not pick on smaller fighters.
