This prediction is not as crazy as some people think. Smith can punch a bit and Beterbiev is 38 yo and has been decked twice early in fights, including one hard KD by another British Callum (Johnson). It's possible Eddie is giving away Smith's game plan here - go after Beterbiev from the first bell, lay it on him and see what happens.

Having said that, I definitely won't be putting any of my money on Smith by 1st round KO!

Exactly. Hearn is publicly backing his fighter as you'd expect and Smith's best chance is by early KO. That Johnson KD was from a left hook too, and Smith has a mean left hook.
