Has Slow Eddie Hearn lost his mind

By Jake Tiernan: Eddie Hearn is making an early first-round knockout prediction victory for Callum Smith over IBF, WBC & WBO light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev on August 19 at the Centre Videotron in Quebec City.

This is as bold a statement if I’ve ever seen one
Just very disrespectful and overviewing what Artur Beterbiev has done his whole career
Is there anyone out there who agrees with this and why ?

    Incredibly disrespectful.

Beterbiev lives through two Chechen-Russian wars, loses his father, moves away as a teenager over 1000 miles away to pursue his dreams of being a fighter, struggles to support his mother and has a personality forged out of steel, but we're expecting half-heart Callum Smith to wipe him out in 1 round?

Seriously, I hope Beterbiev annihilates Callum Smith and makes a HUGE ****ing statement "this is my division, you'll need to bring an AK47 to beat me".

This prediction is not as crazy as some people think. Smith can punch a bit and Beterbiev is 38 yo and has been decked twice early in fights, including one hard KD by another British Callum (Johnson). It's possible Eddie is giving away Smith's game plan here - go after Beterbiev from the first bell, lay it on him and see what happens.

Having said that, I definitely won't be putting any of my money on Smith by 1st round KO!

If it's what he thinks then it's what he thinks.

Should he be more respectful and predict something that he doesn't think will happen?

The Matchroom fans are actually defending this blatant troll opinion.

It’s like when he said Brook would beat Golovkin.

Got a lot of time for Callum though so I actually hope he’s right. Can’t see it though. Beterbiev mid to late.

I'm not defending the opinion, he's free to have those. I'm defending the so called disrespect. Of course he's going to believe in Smith.

By the way, I'm not convinced he even said first round knockout, never mind early first round knockout. It's a BN24 'article'. Not known for factual reporting or impartiality.
