Canelo choosing Charlo over Benavidez is a blatant duck.

THEN, and only THEN would the WBC be able to order Benavidez.

Anything else is a VOLUNTARY defense and Canelo can fight whoever he wants. Since WBA hasn't ordered the fight with Morrell yet, he doesn't have to fight anyone at the moment, and he's not ducking anyone.

People on NSB clearly don't understand the concept of mandatory rotation.
      Belts don’t mean sh**.

Stars like Canelo don’t give a damn about mandatories.

They fight who they want to.

They fight who they want to unless the mandatory has been ordered. Then they either fight the mandatory or they get stripped. And Canelo clearly cares about belts.

If the fight hasn't been ordered, then yes, they are free to fight whoever they want. That's why it's called a voluntary defense.

Your lack of understanding doesn't mean that the rules don't exist and don't get enforced. That's why Canelo fought Yildirim, so he wouldn't have unification derailed by mandatory obligations. Also why he fought Ryder. That wasn't a voluntary defense, that was a WBO mandatory obligation. How do you not know this stuff?

Canelo doesn’t give a f*** about belts. He’s a prizefighter. All top fighters are.

I’ll give you a prime example. He vacated the WBC title when Golovkin was mandatory. He CHOSE when that fight was gonna happen.

The WBO didn’t even call the Ryder mandatory. So who has a lack of understanding?

Don't be deliberately obtuse. That's because they didn't need to, having already come to an agreement that he would fight their challenger. Yildirim wasn't officially ordered either, but it still put WBC at the back of the rotation. And as you pointed out with your GGG example, when it does get ordered, you either fight or vacate.

So you can say he ducked Benavidez when he vacates the WBC belt rather than take an ordered fight with him. But that doesn't change the facts, which are that he isn't required to fight Benavidez now, and if he would rather make money with other fights, he's entitled to do so because those are voluntaries.

You're just whining because you want him to fight Benavidez as a voluntary.

But don't bring mandatories into your argument for ducking, because Benavidez' mandatory status isn't going to come into play until WBA and IBF are clear, no matter how much you whine about it.

Again, how do you not understand this?

The WBO mandatory was never called. You were WRONG.

Canelo-Yildirim was ordered, so WRONG again.
The World Boxing Council has ordered a fight between Canelo Alvarez and Avni Yildirim for its vacant super middleweight belt.

Where did I bring up Benavidez being mandatory? You’re just making stuff up now.

Benavidez being mandatory is irrelevant, same as Ryder, same as Golovkin back in 2016. Canelo fights who he wants when he wants. That’s the point here, the belts don’t matter.

Then complain about him ducking Benavidez when he vacates the WBC belt, because that eventual mandatory obligation the only reason for Canelo to fight him. What does Benavidez do for Canelo as a voluntary now that he doesn't do later as a mandatory? There's no point clearing out the WBC mandatory when it's not even time, and just opens him up to another mandatory fight with WBC earlier.

You don't seem to understand the concept of voluntary either. Of course Canelo fights who he wants absent a mandatory fight being ordered.

You may not care about the belts, because YOU don't have any. But that doesn't mean anything about Canelo ducking.

Since Yildirim was ordered, that just confirms my point that Benavidez is third in line, and not being ducked.

Ryder was the WBO mandatory. None of your obfuscation changes that.

Every fight until WBA orders Morrell is voluntary. There's no ducking going on. He gets to fight who he wants. And he gets no benefit from clearing a potentially tough mandatory early, instead of taking some easy money fighting other voluntary fights.

Where did I mention Benavidez being mandatory as part of my argument you incoherent Neanderthal?

The mandatory situation is IRRELEVANT. Canelo CHOOSES who he fights regardless of any ABC pressure or stipulation and he’s CHOOSING not to fight Benavidez. Simple as that.

                  Maybe read that back slowly…

I'm going to disagree here because the fight is coming. A 3 fight deal with PBC, it has to happen, right?

Are you suggesting that Benavidez needs to prove himself further to get the fight with Canelo? He won the title eliminator vs Plant and is Canelo's mandatory challenger. They are both now under PBC. If this fight doesn't get made, it's sheer madness.
