The bottom line is; Jermall Charlo was Canelo Alvarez' mandatory challenger six years ago and yet Ginger hid behind his bogus WBC Franchise title belt in order to avoid him.

He only fought them when it was expedient to do so; With catchweights and rehydration clauses etc. Once he knew he had the advantage and the upper hand over them like he is doing with Jermall Charlo. They probably have no choice but to fight each other. However, they did say that Nelo signed a three fight deal with Showtime and the PBC. So we'll just have to wait and see who he fights on Cinco De Mayo. Hopefully, it's against another Mexican fighter named David Benavidez. Let's just hope and pray that it is!
