Canelo choosing Charlo over Benavidez is a blatant duck.

If you’re gonna work with PBC, Benavidez is the obvious fight to make.

Had he chose to rematch Bivol or face Jack at Cruiserweight, I can understand that. The revenge aspect with Bivol and the historical significance of winning a title at Cruiserweight is justifiable. However, there’s one guy we want to see Canelo fight above anyone else at 168 and that’s Benavidez.

Also the ironic thing is I actually think he beats Benavidez. He clearly doesn’t want it though, he isn’t willing to risk losing the Mexican/Latino fanbase.

If he's gonna work with PBC Benavidez is a fight that will obviously happen though

Absoloutely. On top of it, Charlo hasn't fought in 2 years and is having mental issues.Canelo is obviously not looking for the toughest challenge and its a stain on his legacy.

Benavidez is the mandatory and there is no excuse for this blatant duck.

One of the most blatant ducks in history. Benavidez is active, in his division and in huge demand, yet he chooses an inactive middleweight lol. Pure fear.

It's honestly more of a great big middle finger to the haters.

He gets to take on Charlo with crazy ring rust and mental health problems etc, and have that to hold over all the people who have been whining about him not fighting Charlo, and if they try to complain, he can point out that he didn't force Charlo to sit on the sidelines for two years. Charlo did that to himself.

He very likely may get his two biggest threats at SMW to fight each other so he only has to fight one, AND he can watch, see what works and what doesn't. Probably can schedule the fight to be soon after what will likely be each guy's toughest war yet, and A-side them into fighting at a disadvantage, or else turn down the fight and then he'll be able to say that they ducked him when he gave them a shot.

AND the publicity for that fight will make the fight with the winner even bigger with zero work for Canelo, and knowing Canelo, he's getting a percentage.

And he's going to get paid millions for taking them in the order that's most advantageous to him.

I think Canelo signed a 3 fight deal with PBC so its likely this is a set up for that fight.

I wonder what the 3rd fight is?

The logic of a delusional fan boy. Confirming exactly what the haters have been accusing him off, is a great middle finger? lol. We called him a ducker and he just confirmed it. Exposed.

And when you think about it, avoiding a fight could be for any number of reasons and every top-line fighter avoids fights when they have many lucrative options this is not just Canelo its every superstar that ever emerged the bigger they get the more choice they have, if you ask me it inevitable, the part that doesn't sit right with me is how fans automatically think fear and with great fighters that's the last thing it is.

Im not a Canelo fan I just recognize where he is in boxing, as far I can tell he ain't scared of any fighter, he is an elite champion and Im sure his managerial team and influences avoids fights, not saying I like it but I know its real right across history the moment it transitioned from a grudge fight behind the shed into Prize Fighting, Duck is such a fan terminology word I never gelled with, to a fan its fear and the really top guys don't fear another man.

Big fights often don't happen for various reasons, but I can't think of one legit reason the Benavidez fight couldnt happen while Charlo could. If you can't offer any explanations then fear is all that's left right? So give us the plausible explanations.

If you think boxers never fear another man, then you have a romantic view of boxers. They are humans with emotions like anyone else.
