Very interesting fight because Regis can punch and Haney's chin is not the greatest however Regis has problems with boxers.

Not only has Haney never been dropped, but one can reasonably assume he will take punches much better when he doesn't have to drain himself into a skeleton.

One can assume he'll hit harder too.

He'll never be a KO artist, but definitely his punches should have much more pop at 140 than they did at 135.

I know the skill levels are different, but if Loma can hit Devin so can Regis…. And harder, just saying.

Regis couldn't land a significant punch on a 4th tier guy like Zorilla, so he's not going to do anything to Haney. What on earth compelled you to compare Prograis' boxing ability to Loma's? Why would you do that?

He's not rematching Loma, not without aging him out first. And he clearly doesn't want any smoke from Shakur. Not sure Regis is as soft a touch as they seem to think though, but seems pretty clear they don't want to stay with Top Rank where they might have to fight Loma or Shakur at 135. Lopez is out for a while with his divorce stuff, and he vacated the belt. Surprised they're not going for Rolly.

I despise Haney’s fighting style and approach. But man I am really coming around to the confidence and the direction that him and pops have together. They believe in each other, and they’re getting **** done. Have to say I’m impressed, and also curious how far he can actually go with things. Each fight night I think he’s gonna get beat, but he prevails
