I think if dubois was 100% it would be real interesting. But it still is. Dubois has game changing power and he unloads too.

Is he? Based on what? Chisora is old and shop worn but his experience is vastly superior to that of Dubois. Would Chisora have been dropped multiple times against Lerena? Maybe, maybe not. I don't think there's enough evidence to support the opinion that Dubois is a lot better than Chisora.
if you wanna ask me if Chisora is more durable than Dubois - no doubt about it. Chisora has been extremely limited as a fighter for many many years - and Usyk struggled against him.
Pretty sure that Usyk will out box Dubois. I give Dubois a 30% chance, not 50%Comment

We have to embrace all out fighters - we have more losers than winners and decades of experience of getting behind hyped fighters who normally fall short on the world stage - but thats the same for 99% of all fighters eventually.Comment

And let's say he is better than Chisora, that's irrelavent to Chisora being able to make Usyk work.
Do you know why Chisora was able to make him work? Because he has pretty good and deceptive speed of foot to close distance and strength to get on a fighters chest and make them work. He's done it all his career and has the stamina to do it. It's his game and that will always give any former cruiserweight some work to do.
98% of heavyweights would be gassed in 2 or 3 rounds trying to fight like Chisora if its not their usual style.
Dubois might have some attributes that he does better than Chisora, no doubt, but that doesn't mean they lend themselves to high work rate and getting up close to the opponent.
Dubois is a mid-range boxer, pretty basic in his style. Outside of a big punch, he doesn't really have the attributes that's going to pose any real problems to Usyk.
styles make fights. People suggested AJ try to swarm him like Chisora did, and now they're saying Dubois should. You're asking fighters to fight in a way they never do, without the stamina or attributes to do it. It's not a bad idea if you're willing to gamble on taking out Usyk within 2 or 3 rounds fighting that way, but after that, the likes of Dubois and AJ would have emptied their tanks and get taken out themselves.Last edited by deathofaclown; 06-16-2023, 10:00 AM.Comment

Why ask? I think Caroline would be a pretty horrible person to say 'yeah, my brothers gonna get beat like an old rug'. Obviously, she's gonna say he has a 50/50 chance. Has he a chance? Not so far as I'm concerned. I think DDD's people are not looking out for him. He's a young kid & I wouldn't have taken the fight. I think he will be outclassed, beaten up & stopped.Comment

You'd think people would have learnt by now that you don't judge someone on one fight.
People on here said Usyk couldn't beat Joshua because Chisora 'made him work' and Joshua is a much better fighter.
Dubois was impressive up to the Joyce fight. And I think he was impressive in that fight too. He's a decent size. He's shown durability in the past (assuming legs and eye socket are all mended). He can box to a decent level and he can ****.
Usyk won't be taking him lightly. He'll be a big favourite but he's still fighting a bigger man with more heavyweight fights. The shock result wouldn't be all that shocking.
There aren't many heavyweight fights where the underdog has no chance. Especially not once you get into the top 15.Comment

If Joshua had taken that approach early in the second fight instead of waiting to round 9, when he was tired and couldn't sustain his attack, he might have won.Comment
