Exactly. Everybody hyping him up but they should just chuck Benavidez and Munguia in there and watch the dynamites go off. But Canelo vs. Benavidez? Tch. Please…Canelo wins that and they’ll say he’s ducking someone else. Been watching boxing too long to fall into the monolith.

Sorry but Canelo doesn't get credit for beating Benavidez in your fantasy fight. Benavidez is clearly the best challenger at 168 for Canelo and there is no reason not to fight him. Of course his fan boys are happy that he avoids Benavidez and pretend that the fight doesn't need to happen. That's called being a fan of the fighter and not the sport.

Beterbiev is a great fight but Bivol and Beterbiev has priority if Alvarez was to go the Benavidez route. Even if the WBC doesn’t want to sanction the fight they should go ahead and make the fight happen, they are the top two fighters at 175 and they need to clear the air to see who’s number one

If they make the fight, I’m all for it and I’ll fully support by buying the fight. I just don’t think terms like “ducking” apply to someone who’s been proven to take on risks that we seldom see anymore.

Be it the Trout fight, the Lara fight, and last year the Bivol fight.
