100% move up to 47, start out with a domestic winnable fight, then chase the money fights. Try and get Brook out of retirement, Conor Benn maybe, if not then put yourself in a position to cash out vs Spence or Crawford

Move to 147 yes, Spence-Crawford hell no. Why would they entertain a fight against a guy who lost to Teofimo? Lol

Stay active. It doesn’t seem he wants to retire yet. So stay active vs anybody. He lost to a live underdog by decision. He didn’t lose by brutal KO, or took some sort of sustained beating with multiple KD’s, or was threatened by the ref to show him something or he will stop it.

He was the favorite and dropped a pretty wide decision despite what judges scored it. It’s not the end of the world.

Taylor's getting on in years for the division, but I don't know why someone is urged to retire when they take a loss. It used to be the name of the game when people actually fought each other, back in the day.

I find his style basic and unimaginative, but the guy unified the entire division in only his 16th pro fight. He's currently just 19-1.

Yes, he looked bad against Catterwaul, but it was a sloppy, scrappy fight that could have gone either way, despite what they say - I don't score wrestling in boxing matches.

Move up to 147, try to snag a vacant belt after Crawford/Spence move up and vacate, set up for one more cash out unification fight.

Taylor has had a lot of tough fights, i think he's clearly reached his ceiling and one would assume that he's made enough cash given the success he's had.

I suspect he will take one or two more beatings and then pack it in.

Move to 147, fight a domestic-level opponent back home to see if the new weight class suits him and then try become relevant one last time.

To 147 for probably a couple B level fights to get his legs under him and see if he looks better

Maybe harsh and I don't want to be that guy who calls for a fighter to retire after a loss but really he has lost his last two and neither was all that competitive and I don't feel either is exactly elite. He looked **** in both fights. Regardless he is no longer a top level fighter.

I think he is killing himself at 140 but I think if he does go to Welterweight he'd get absolutely ****ed up.

I'd say maybe rematch Prograis would make the most sense but I'd not be against him retiring. I think despite having few pro bouts he already looks shopworn and I think all those fights, about 10 in a row was more or less all life and death affairs. He has taken a lot of punishment in his short career, achieved a lot.
I seen things I don't like to see from fighters. When I see fighters forcing their work like that and their balance being off I no longer want to see them in the ring. The tell on that left hand was ridiculous leaning in before letting it go, even Stevie Wonder could have seen that coming a mile away.
I was often wincing watching him fall off balance and put himself in dangerous positions where he couldn't defend himself.
He looked like an old fighter to me. The mind, the heart still there but his body just wasn't cooperating and seemed a split second behind.
