Glad Villa is getting another big profile fight. Upsets should be rewarded. That said, Ennis should easily outbox and hurt him at times.

American style boxing is the best in the world!

Heck yeah, I’m just glad Boots is back in the ring with a durable guy coming off a good win.

There's a reason I call him 'Eye Test Killa' Villa.

Boots can win, if he fixed the flaws that Chukhadzhian exposed.

Not on the undercard for Crawford Spence because Ennis has been whining about being a main event fighter now. What's with all these hyped up young fighters these days? Bizarre he thinks he'll get better fame from being main event on his own card with minimal eyes on than being co-main for the biggest fight in the division. De La Hoya should be begging Showtime to let Ortiz v Stanionis be co-main too. That's as good as it gets for lining up the title shot at the winner, who will be undisputed, although I expect the winner to vacate and move up to take on Mell.

Both the top contenders are competing for the audience on July 8 too...

thurman had a PPV main event, multi million $ offer to fight tank at 147 and turned it down. So no, $ doesn’t always talk. My guess is both Ugas and Thurman are waiting to see what happens after Spence-Crawford and hoping to fight for vacate titles after.
You know Ugas has an eye injury. And when have you seen a Cuban fighter ducking?

The money is not there to finance those, that's why Ennis is dipping his feet into a main event as he makes more and his career is moving forward, he could look great in this fight that's why they picked Villa, today with the really big fights the main takes all the money so they generally fill the card with less talent for cheaper.

This will be a fun fight while it lasts. I think that Jaron wins by KTFO.

Broken eye socket takes 2-4 months after surgery to heal. The fight was 15 months ago. why isn’t he fighting? What fight is he waiting for? Ducking is too harsh of a word, but he’s not eager to fight up and coming contenders either. He wants only big fight. And that’s okay. He’s earn that right. But let’s call it what it is and not sugarcoat it.
