Is that Colombian cab driver any good? Or is he another bum killer?

Kind of like Darnell Boone in his prime - he's not top level, but he's sneaky and can catch you slipping.
Boots blocks punches with his face and moves in a straight line. He also gasses after 6, where Villa is more dangerous in the later rounds.
Boots should win if he worked on his flaws.Comment

Haymon is always getting the best out of DLH and his fighters. Did the same with Canelo too lol.

Broken eye socket takes 2-4 months after surgery to heal. The fight was 15 months ago. why isn’t he fighting? What fight is he waiting for? Ducking is too harsh of a word, but he’s not eager to fight up and coming contenders either. He wants only big fight. And that’s okay. He’s earn that right. But let’s call it what it is and not sugarcoat it.Comment

You really need to be listening to the podcast so you can learn something.
Boots was promoted by NSB as being able to smash Spence and Crawford.
Goes in there and fails to cut the ring off, can't drop the guy, barely hurt him.
If that was Spence, Boots would have been sparked, Chukhadzhian had no power.
The visual of him following the guy around the ring like a puppy eating 3-piece with a biscuit doesn't sell fans. Same as Bum****a getting taken the full distance by Steve Rolls.
Styles make fights. This you know.
The same can be said of PAC going the full 12 rounds with Brandon Rios - that visual does not sit right with fans when PAC is considered an ATG.
Spence-Crawford is happening and unless the winner moves up in weight, Boots will be clamoring for a title shot.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

I'd love for Villa to become something at WW, like Maidana type. There are some things he does offensively that I love, tons of leverage, two handed combinations. He has the flat top hair so it looks like Michael Carbajal or something when he is throwing body punches agains with a guy pinned against the rope with the camera at his back.
But can he take it? Stamina was not consistent and Ellis was getting his attention more than I'd would have expected, he just covered up and nothing was coming back.
Not that much is known about what Ennis can take either, plenty of people seen him get clipped here and there. Villa's power is legit and it sticks.
Ennis should have plenty chances to make up for last time.Comment

The Maidana-Broner 2 already happened five months ago. This Villa guy got the same angry temperament like Marcos. Didn't you see Ellis clowning and disrespecting Villa? And look what happened. Rashidi got dropped on his ass with the same looping left punch, which was exactly what put Broner on the canvas. It could happen again if Ennis is not careful.Comment

All I know is, Boots seems like a good dude. I seriously hope they fixed the flaws. Because if and when he steps up, he won't be styling on the A-Level.Comment

You're right about Rios, but it was worse when when Algieri took him the distance. A lightweight. And even worse when Jeff Horn had threw him around around the ring and took his belt.

Who do you think is doing the ducking? Boots was ranked higher than Karen and neither Bud nor Spence appear to want to fight him.
