He brings nothing to the table yet. But you already know that.

His performance against Chukhadzhian didn't do him any favors. If he can make a statement against 'Eye Test Killa' Villa, it'll help. But if he gets taken the full distance again...

Again, seems like a good dude, but he was hyped as a major threat. Meanwhile guys like Cody Crowley and Stankonia are still around, Keef is still a thing, etc. Crowley in particular is highly skilled.

If Boots brings nothing to the table then I’m guessing Avanesyan and Kavaliauskas bring something to the table?
Are you dating those two were better opponents than Boots? Also, what kind of statements did they make to earn a shot at Crawford?

As you saw above, apparently BLK Prime wanted to throw money at Boots to fight Crawford and they turned it down.

I speculated on the podcast that they're purposely guiding Boots' career more carefully. And there's really one reason they would do that.

They understand that their guy looked like crap against Chukhadzian. Doesn't matter if judges saw a blowout, it wasn't up to the standard he's been hyped to. And they know that if Karen could rotate him for 12, Crawford damn sure would. I have Boots/Crawford as a 50/50 fight.

I understand the business point of matchmaking. A lot of boxers have gone that route. Some decided to bet on themselves and came up short and ruined their careers. Broner comes to mind.
Boots, Ortiz Jr, Spence and Crawford will eventually collide this year or by next year.
Like you, I see Boots vs Crawford/Spence as a 50/50 fight.

The eye test and I tend to trust Breadman’s eye test and he has Boots as the most talented prodigy he’s ever seen.

                Wait a tick, we disconnected.

                I said Boots/Crawford is 50/50.

Spence stops him in 9, shades of Ocampo, especially if Boots doesn't fix his tendency to block punches with his face.

My reason for 50/50 scenario is because Boots is extremely speedy with his footwork. The only way he gets KO’d is if he walks into something huge.

He can't be too speedy, since he failed to catch Chukhadzhian.

BLK called to try and see if Bozy would be interested, but Ennis is under an exclusive contract with Showtime, so Bozy directed Prime to speak with Espinoza about making the fight. Espinoza told Bozy that when he asked for the numbers and plans on making the fight happen on Showtime with BLK as a partner, they didn't have a strategy in place, and he was unwilling to trust them with Showtime's investment being handled by a fledgling app company from there on.
