  • Lopez reminds me of Prince Hamed. Not quite as athletic, but very hard to figure out. He can pop too.

There are plenty of guys that never went to the Olympics but had great careers (Calzaghe, Hopkins, PAC etc) so the opposite can be true.
I don't know what you're trying to say. Going to the Olympics is no guarantee of success as a pro in itself, but medaling in the Olympics is a sign of ability. You act as if promoters don't consider it when they sign them to million dollar contracts.

I think it would be one of the weaker ones in Europe but you need to qualify in a tournament after you win the spot for team Ireland. That is the hard part with all of the Eastern European countries gobbling up spots.

Yes same wide winging punches but he isn't quite as dynamic. I hope he isn't a doper but boxing is full of dopers so anything is possible.

These were your words, “I thought Conlan would use his Olympic pedigree, but he lost there too.”

And my response was not every Olympian gets to have the expected career we think they’ll have. And then I gave examples of guys that never went to the Olympics. So essentially, we are agreeing in the same thing.

              • Lopez was loading up on, and telegraphing that uppercut since round 1 and Conlan just never adjusted. His chin was there for the uppercut all night except in round 1 when he was dodging out of the way pretty good.

                • I've been telling ya lopez is a beast a mix of Manny Pacquiao with that In and out darting speed and punches you don't see coming that hurt you. He's the best FW Robeisy being his toughest fight but Lara, wood Vargas get destroyed by el venado.

                    • It almost seemed like that knockout punch came out of nowhere. That said Venado vs Robeisy would be a great fight for the promoter's to make for the fan's.
