I'm not trying to be dismissive when someone asks, how do you use an Olympic pedigree? Forget dogs and kings, in boxing. It means that you had to kick ass to get where you got. If you think that getting on the Irish Olympic boxing team was easy, emigrate.

It's the same punch I've seen in the Canelo vs Saunders fight, as a quick example at the top of my head. BJS moves his head low, then a hook comes his way at the same time. You can just imagine the disastrous impact.

That's why I'm not a fan of a fighter who ducks very low like Conlan as part of his defensive tactics. It's a bad habit that should never be taught in boxing. Haney does the same and it won't be long till someone times him and gets KO'd in similar fashion.

It just tells me such fighters can't stand straight and have to duck low to avoid punches. It's kind of like, "I can't take it, get me out of here!"

Lopez has a quite evident Boxing IQ. His turns, timing, and angles shows he is a hell of a smart fighter. Lopez is one ELITE Featherweight!

Saw Lopez mimicking Conlan's low head movement in a mocking way as if to say this is a joke of a style.

Apples to Oranges but if that’s the case, there are plenty of boxers who had Olympic pedigree but didn’t get title fights until past 20 fights.

There are plenty of guys that never went to the Olympics but had great careers (Calzaghe, Hopkins, PAC etc) so the opposite can be true.

Lopez is fun to watch. Unorthodox style and carries power. Shown a calm temperament too in hostile atmospheres like Leeds and Belfast.

Lopez has clearly improved over each fight since he debuted a couple years ago. Smart and exciting fighter which doesn't always go together.
