    Okay my bad I was wrong about De La Hoya so that's minus 1 out 0f 4 Lineal/Ring Champions that I said.

    But BlackIrish you were wrong about Baldomir not being #1WW when Floyd fought him.

      being linear doesnt necessarily make your the best of the division. all it means is you beat the alleged lineage champion, a lineage that's been broken several times.

        Floyd = Corrales, Castillo, DLH, Hatton, Genaro H, Judah.
        Calzaghe = Kessler, Hopkins.

        Floyd has the better resume without a doubt he has at least 6 or 7 quality wins contrary to Cal who only has Kessler nd B-Hop.

          Floyd cleaned the lightweight division.

            Seriously how could 9 people pick Joe?
            I mean Joe is a good fighter and all, but he's not in the same catagory as Floyd Maywaether. If your biggest wins are over guys who are older than most retired boxers than you just aren't on Mayweather's level. I mean yeah he beat Kessler, and Lacy, but those aren't exactly guys on the level of Mayweather's best opponents.

                Floyd has the better overall resume, BUT

                Even Bhop at 43 was a better single opponent than Floyd's ever faced.

                O and Floyd never put his neck on the line against a game fighter who was a pickem fight by vegas odds (like Kessler). I'd like to see Floyd fight someone of that caliber in his late 30's and win much less in his prime.

                  Floyd.

                  -- IMO, the 130-135 resume of pbf is greater than the entire resume of Calzaghe. I'm not basing it on his JWW or WW stint though ... he only did the dollars there but competition is certainly lacking.

                    FMJ's resume crushes Calzaghe.

                    All Calzaghe really has is 2 wins, one controversial, over two 40 year olds.
