Shakur should keep his spot, and I like the idea of Tank being elevated to full champ so he has to potentially fight some top guys. Loma can fight one of the top contenders for the other organizations like Zepeda for that vacant belt. Preferably the IBF since that's the one he didn't get before.

There are standards.....ring generalship, effective punches, cleaner blows. Haney landed a couple of good shots, the body shots were low in many cases and as a whole ineffective. Loma landed far cleaner shots for the majority of the fight, he did what he wanted to do, he had Haney confused many times. He hurt Haney clearly. Loma was never hurt and controlled the fight.

I agree to a point with you though. Hopefully some good comes out of this, whether it be investigation into corruption, or, better judge training.

Well, you can root out all of the corrupt people in boxing and remedially train everyone to perfection, but it won't change a thing. You just acknowledged that boxing rules and judging criteria allow for legitimate disagreements in round scoring. When you have 4 competing scoring criteria fans can and do choose the one that works for them in every round. If their fighter fails to land many clean, hard punches, then they just say he showed good defense or ring generalship. If that doesn't work work either they just say well my guy was more aggressive and threw more punches or landed at a higher percentage (even if the total landed was 2 punches). It's all non-sense. The only scoring criteria that matter are clean, hard punching and which guy did more damage to their opponent. Everything else is BS and only causes confusion. Until people accept that the scoring system is broken and do something about it these scoring controversies will continue unabated.
