No heavy interest to see Fury fight anywhere after his antics with the Usyk fight.
He can go retire...
Obviously he'd draw a crowd once they started promoting it, but boxing is a minor sport. I couldn't have a meaningful boxing conversation with anyone I know in Melbourne.
That's why they usually put a rugby or AFL player on the card to get the locals interested.

I've followed boxing since Manila and cannot recall a period where the top ten at heavyweight were so locked-in to being inactive. Most of these guys need 9-18 months off after each appearance. Ruiz, Wilder, and Ortiz are literally playing touch-me-not. Usyk would have been active however Fury is up to his 3-faced tricks, yet again - and I'm a longtime fan (who has had about enough). Hrgovic is ready to go but has a legit reason to wait (until I see the 1-year mark) in this day and age. Joyce has demanded Zhang finish digging his plot 6-feet down into the ground. Joyce will soon be gone. Zhang will be on ice soon after as the money boys wait for him to age further. Fury talks the Ali game but makes more excuses with each passing month, fingers pointed at anyone in reach as to why he appears impotent where making a compelling worthwhile defense is concerned. Its become so tiresome I'm actually intrigued at the notion of Usyk/Dubious. The busiest heavyweight top-ten guy the last 8 months has been Joe Parker, his latest appearance concluding just a few hours ago. Expect Fury/Parker this summer.
If I could make a fun heavyweight fight today? Martin Bakole vs Dillian Whyte. Their recent lobby verbal showdown has for me provided the most heavyweight action/intrigue since Usyk/Joshua II.Last edited by Hooded Terror; 05-24-2023, 10:16 AM.

It’s like when Joshua was fighting Povetkin, Pulev etc. Credible enough voluntary’s but I ain’t gonna give you credit for beating 40 year old contenders you’re a level above.
Same logic applies to Fury vs Zhang.

Zhang is infinitely more credible than McKean, Chisora, Whyte, Parker, etc at this stage. Fury may well beat him, but who knows? Lesser fighters have posed problems for Fury. Let's not forget that.
