I'm not surprised he's struggling to find opponents that people are excited about given his and his team's purse demandswrecksracer likes this.

Style-wise it makes for an interesting fight IMO. Zhang is slow-footed but he is a good pressure fighter who can punch and knows how to cut off the ring. He has also shown a great chin and a sneaky but highly technical southpaw offense. Apart from Usyk, he's as credible an opponent or better for Fury than anyone else mentioned so far. For entertainment value, Zhang's cool personality might be a perfect match for Tyson. All he has to do is smile and stay quiet and Fury will surely lose his marbles and start slinging the racial slurs.
It’s like when Joshua was fighting Povetkin, Pulev etc. Credible enough voluntary’s but I ain’t gonna give you credit for beating 40 year old contenders you’re a level above.
Same logic applies to Fury vs Zhang.

If Fury fights Demsey , it really is not forgivable , I'll repeat , just for you , he had his give me with Chisora , Demsey shouldn't even be an opponent for your robot let alone the best heavyweight out there.
Please go away...
What your doing again here is looking to include everyone to blame to redirect attention on Fury , being a top guy in England has nothing to do with Furys choice of opponents that’s just you not having balls and being a beta make again on here not just calling it what it is and that’s Fury holding the division up ,no one else ,grow a pair for once . . Terrible, time will pass, he will fight a couple of average big guys and retire. A rematch with wallin would be much better than this....

Fury is not that credible champion, he is barely tested, he beat 3 good guys in his life.Slowhand

The Great Fury steps up again just as some doubted him. A giant, unbeaten Australian who some think is the greatest boxer that has ever lived. Let's hope it's not another Oleksandr Ducksyk situation where Fury, through no fault at all of his own, is left in limbo.
If he can win this, he may face the 4th version of Chisora, after Delboy, War, and Old, comes the best version yet, Derek Chisora PPV. Fury always comes good in the end, and if this fight gets over the line, nobody can complain as Fury attempts to crack the Australian market. Ducksyk can wait as Fury fries bigger fish, but mark Nash's words, Ducksyk is getting it by the end of 2027. Nash out

It's a voluntary defence so I guess he can fight anyone within reason. But I think if fury wants to go down as the best of era, or goat brit heavyweight, he might need to beat better guys.
But I think fury is putting all his eggs in beating usy k basket. Beating usy k is great, but don't then lose to joshua, and fury will need to fight joshua.Last edited by hugh grant; 05-23-2023, 04:49 PM.
