Benevidez hasn't done enough for anyone to have much of an opinion. My guess is that both Ward and Canelo beat him up badly, I think they would tee off on him. It's just a guess though, based on their tight defense and his apparent lack thereof.

Ward too clever for Benavidez. Remember, he beat a really tough, underrated champ in Froch and also Kessler.

Guy had the struggle of a lifetime with Gavril and Plant. Could barely hit Plant for 6 rounds, was whiffing all over the place. But he beats prime Andre Ward. Lol.

Any version of Ward schools Benavidez. From Kessler all the way to Kovalev. Any prime or peak version of Ward beats Benavidez easily.

I’m crossing my fingers Canelo stays away from Bivol and instead fights Benavidez so we could put that silly argument down once and for all.

The only way to beat guys like Ward is with rough housing and some fouling of your own. Haven't seen that in Benavidez up to this point.

Prime ward lost to kovalov though that was at 175 a I don't see prime Ward as even the top 3 of all time all time & 168;calazagh can't spell was legit, I know he would've lost to a prime roy Jones jr hands down. Benavidez vs Ward would be a great fight a toss up. Canelo vs Ward would play out similar to Bivol vs Canelo. Though he hasnt yet become undisputed Morrell jr based upon the eye test and pedigree would beat a prime Ward for Morrell Jr is prime Roy Jones jr good which is why I favor Morrell at 168 over Benavidez whom is a natural LHW. Mark my words barring injury or drug test Morrell jr will become undisputed at 168 hell beat Benavidez n make Benavidez go to his natural class of 175

This is why I never take Robert Garcia's opinions about fighters seriously. He picks fights based on his emotions.

No he didn't. But that's a nice fantasy.

Gotta love these what if threads. Why don't we talk about active fighters? All the fighters at 168 have a lot yet to prove.
