I prefer Lloyd Banks.
How about giving this young buck some credit?

Salido missed weight
Low blows
Rabbit punches
Dodgy scorecard
Bad shoulder
Loma won
Teos dad was allowed to get too involved
Distracted by the war
Ex sparring partner
Ring rust
Too small
Loma is old
Haney talked too much trash
Weighed in too early
Got into Lomas head so bad with fouls he made Loma wrestle him to the canvas out of retaliation
Haney shoved Loma and tried to injure him
Fouling in the fight
Robbery
How many dozen excuses have I forgot?Comment

It was an either way fight, there was atleast 6 swing rounds in there. So the wrong man didn’t win, because either man has an argument to win the fight despite the fact I had Loma winning.
Haney got the decision in a razor close fight.
That’s what I think you need to get over.

I don`t care man.
I can see many Loma haters including you talkin s.hit about Loma all the time and now you want me to give Haney a credit for a close fight with old Loma.
This bi.tch gets no credit from me and I wish him to get knocked out ice cold when he moves up.Comment

I don’t think you understand what a fact is.

It was better than usual but I don't think compubox will ever give us a fair reflection on Lomas output due to his frenetic style and a lot of probing & lead hand fencing. He also throws these extremely short shots as if to simply touch the opponent. I think it said he threw 250 jabs or there about?
It was a quicker start than usual (than vs Campbell, Ortiz or Lopez) but for me Haney was the one shading the rounds with the better accuracy and cleaner work, clean bodyshots and was simply more consistent throughout a lot of the rounds.
For me Loma just wastes too much energy doing a lot of unnecessary stuff and gets credited too much because of it. I don't want to say flash over substance but for me he often gets too much credit for a lot of erratic movement that isn't always all that effective or scoring. This is with commentators to fans to compubox.
He is feinting and probing, level changing, moving his head, creating angles and he is throwing 4-5 punches and often pushing them and playing touch when only one is getting through then he gets countered clean and has to close the gap again and eats another shot on his way in but it gives the impression he is doing better and having more success than he in fact is because the odd times he flurries they're on defence and slipping and rolling shots but they're in fact being more conservative but landing the better, cleaner shots or in fact outlanding him despite his surges which give the illusion of him being busier than he is when he is spending massive chunks of the round not scoring with anything.
Upon watching it back in particular the first 9 rounds I would like to say that I was wrong and the ESPN broadcast for those 9 rounds at least did a fairly good job of giving a fair assessment if you will and a few times they acknowledged nothing got through or/& credited Haneys defence and in those situations rightfully so but the compubox team and fans (live in the arena) do not have the same view.Last edited by dan_cov; 05-24-2023, 10:03 AM.Comment

I dont really care what you or boxrec say, I saw a clear winner like the majority of everyone else. Haney was 18/5 in the live odds during the final round, which is the exact fight i saw, and is not reflective of the 'razor close' 'either man could of won' argument you so desperately are trying to push.
That is because Loma had such a strong round 10 & 11 and obviously a ton of money went on him in-play completely shifting the odds in his favour.Comment
