Roy will always be remembered better than Floyd simply due to the fact that he was a classy and likeable guy with real charisma. Floyd is just a ******ed turd.
it's explanations like this **** that only mkes it th much easier to argue against..wh floyd learned in the gym is what roy learned i the gym also dumby--that's why they have trainers and training camps--roy was unorthodox---but floyd could be also--but he was textbook because he new how to dominate with it and his strongest asset is not his textbook style--but hs brlliant mind--which is whyhe hasn't lost in 40 fights...roy has lost---he depended too much on pure athleticism, floyd has much more weapons and is he overall more skilled fighter(and this has been mentioned so many times on here already). roy was dominant with his style---but it aught up with him---even though he had to shed many pounds coming down to light heavyweight to fight tarver---he still beat tarver, albeit barely, in his first trip back, and was just caught with a good shot that knocked him out, so that excuse people came up with for him about him losing that 2nd fght by ko, and then the third fight by just trying to survive, and losing to glen johnson by ko---it was excuse after excuse after excuse---fom roy himself and his fans--had floyd done this---he would have been buried alive by you people--that's why he won't give ou *******s the satisfacton of seeing him fall and lose a fight, so he'll keep dominating like he's has done since day 1...roy loses to joe c., more excuses come for him--floyd beats castillo injured and then gives an immediate rematch to him, only to beat him again...

floyd is already the greater fighter and mark my words---he will retire once again, undefeated...

This bull**** needs to ****ing stop. Floyd fought one smaller guy, and all you losers jump on it. I love Hopkins, but why doesnt he get all this hate for fighting Winky, Oscar, Tito, Pavlik- all his best wins were vs fighters out of his division

Fact is, Floyd has the kind of well laid out skill base which means he could fight into his 40's and still compete long after his reflexes and speed has dulled.

As soon as Roy's natural abilities faded, he got knocked the **** out

        Whos the better fighter again?

            Roy Jones JR
who else in the sports has gone through a round without having a punch land on them (did this on sevral occassions)

he has unbelievable speed and power the only problem was coming back down from

heavyweight too soon which has led to him becoming the fighter he is today

having been at the Sydney press confrence for the up coming fight against danny green an interesting comment was made roy said that he is enjoying his boxing more now then before because now people aren't sure whether he will win or not

i think it shows now he might not be fighting against the best fighters out there but he is still entertaining the crowds and putting on good shows action wise

floyd on the other hand has shown a somewhat attitude towards protecting his perfect record his speed and defenssive abillities are against the best unmatched but has he tested them against the best some will think not and whilst Roy looked for the challenges for great fights most times above his weight class of late it seems floyd is more then happy to see the best fights against people of a naturally smaller weight

given time and there is plenty left floyd has more then enough talent skill and big fight opponents in his weights class to change this perception

its a tough call but just because of what Roy has achieved up to this point in his career i give him the nod floyd has plenty of time left to still achieve even more greatness

Mayweather has had more top competition , but RJJ had more stiffer tests and is clearly the P4P of our generation. His skill, elegance and majesty was unreal. MW to HW sounds like a fairytale no if you look at the division. Even SMW division. Hence my previous username of RJJP4PBaby!!!!! Even if he didn't do the crazy feat of leaping up and then back down to succesfully defend his title, I would say the way he beat them second rate bums was phenomenal. He did the same to James Lights Out Toney in his prime and he was ****hot.

I wish them english bums were not selfish cowards (Eubanks admitted he liked being a 'big fish in a small pond') who ran away from the inevitable losses that they owed to boxing fans. French people would never do that, as we saw when Mormeck showed that he Haye he had a warriors heart despite being at the tale end of his career. Nobody can diss you if you just be the best you can be. If he was english, he would have avoided all top competition in their prime like Calslappy did! Them english and welsh bums were cowards who tried denying the man the greatness that he had. Darius the German Pole was another big ***** too, scared of the real RJJ

Roy honestly should have been the greatest fighter of all time with his talent. But he wasted his career after about 1996 on. He should have been fighting the real heavyweights like Holyfield and Moorer instead of Ruiz. He also should have just taken the fights with Calzaghe and Hopkins and beaten them both. I can't help but consider him a waste given what he SHOULD have done with his career. It's ****ed up really.

Mayweather on the other hand is already a 5 division champ, no losses, and only one close fight (where he fought 11 rounds with one good arm). You can't tell me Roy accomplished more.

Roy had the talent to be the better fighter, but Mayweather has done more with his time.

if roy would have just stayed at heavyweight he probably would have dominated even the klitsckos back than his physcii was invincable.. but the real reason he moved back down was because corrie sanders was his manditory .. and who could blame him ...
