I can't help but consider him a waste given what he SHOULD have done with his career. It's ****ed up really.

Mayweather on the other hand is already a 5 division champ, no losses, and only one close fight (where he fought 11 rounds with one good arm). You can't tell me Roy accomplished more.

Roy had the talent to be the better fighter, but Mayweather has done more with his time.
    ummm... what?

In 2002, there was a lot of talk about a big fight in boxing. I don't know if you heard of it. It was called Jones-Hopkins II? It would have pitted #1 in the world (Roy) vs. #2 in the world (Hopkins). They argued over the money for about 8 months and it never happened. Not sure if you followed boxing back then. Anyway, Roy wanted 60% and Hopkins said no. Hopkins said he would accept 50%. Roy said no.

Then there was another idea that maybe Jones and Calzaghe could fight since Calzaghe was this undefeated super middleweight in a division Roy once ruled. They talked about it, but it never happened.

Oh wait, both fights did eventually happen...about a decade after each meant anything. So maybe you think Roy fighting Calzaghe in 2008 and Hopkins in 2010 counts for something. Let me fill you in on something. It doesn't. Roy is just picking up paychecks for asskickings.

you didn't mention anything about "rematch" or "II" on your 1st post, that's why i said what?

to even acknowledge Calzaghe-Jones in 2008 as being relevant is just being ignorant. Same goes for this fight with Hopkins. People wanted to see these fights 7-8 years ago when they meant something. There's no need to put "II" up there. Jones fought a green Hopkins who wasn't known by anyone at the time in 1993. In 2010, he's fighting Hopkins for a paycheck and an L. In 2002, it would have been to decide the best fighter in the world.

Maybe we can get Ray Leonard to come back and accept a fight with Aaron Pryor. That would be neat-o!

What a paradox that is! More talented & Better boxer are the same thing my friend so they cancel each other out. So you are saying its a tie?

                      Thoughts?
For pure natural talent RJJ was better, but for all round boxing ability Floyd is better.
