You're welcome. No I did not think Oscar was more of a threat. Sure Floyd moved up one pound (148) to face a fighter who outweighed him by 5-10. Jones moved up around fifteen pounds to meet a guy who still outweighed him by another 25.

But that wasn't what I was saying. I said using titles can get tricky. Sometimes it's overstated, sometimes underrated, and sometimes mean nothing at all.

I pick Roy Jones Jr. abve floyd money any day... they are my number 1 and 2

If it was nt for roy's superhuman abilities i agree, he wouldnt have been ****
IF his super human reflexes wasnt there, if his ridiculous speed wasnt there, and the power to go with it, thats why he saw a really big decline when he got old.. because those gifts went away and his boxing technique wasnt enough to get him through

Where as floyd would survive I THINK even when he loses his reflexes because his technique is still there, and to me its not about because roy was more entertaining because i understand both fighters for their differences

I understood what you were saying, I just think its more impressice in terms of actual weight gained. To gain 50lbs and still be effective is almost unheard of. 24lbs is still impressive, but its more common.

That's your opinion...Floyd's defense is much better than RJJ...Roy didn't need much defense until his legs were shot...

So this was about who has taken more threats by way of how much their opponents outweighed them? not really who was facing the better, more skilled, fighter?

If not mistaken, Jones was favorite in that fight. Someone being outweighed by 15pounds and going up 25 pounds north of their last Weight division, being favored against a HW either meant Jones was that good or John Ruiz was that bad?

I know Mayweather was also favored against De La Hoya but why wouldn't he? mean he "only went up 1 pound" right? So he wasn't really taking on a higer threat than Jones was taking with the great John Ruiz.

Yeah I agree with the bold.

No thats commonsense. You can only judge a fighter on who they have beaten!!

I disagree. Roy Jones was almost never hit cleanly in his prime. He blocked and avoided punches very well, though not in a conventional manner. I think Floyd had the better technical skills which should help him age better but as far as defense goes, Jones was unhittable.
