Paying subscription fees is to be expected, but the whole ppv game is nonsense imo, especially when they try to shuttle any half decent fight onto it.
PPV is out of control mate. I get people put their health on the line but i'd play in traffic for 5 milly let alone fight a world champion.

You pose some great question's on your post Ry92, along with some undeniable fact's to boot.
Wilder hasn't fought in some time, and by the time he fight's again about 1 year will have passed.
Usyk hasn't fought in 8 month's, and by the time he fight's again about 1 year will gone by as well.
Now although their time out of the ring is about the same, and they've also only fought once a year for the past three year's.
There are a couple of glaring difference's, Wilder's been stopped in 2 of his last 3 fight's, and he's only had to go 1 round in his last fight.
While Usyk has you to know defeat, let alone being a stopped, and his last went the 12 round distance.
So he's not only the least damaged fighter of the two, but he's gone the 12 round distance in those past 3 fight's, so he won't have as much ring rust as Wilder.
We also don't know how much those stoppage losses have affected Wilder, so taking those fact's into account Usyk hold's the advantage's to win against Wilder.
Except for the fact that Wilder has the ultimate eraser to all that has been stated those far, and that is he posses the most powerful knockout punches in boxing.
I still pick Usyk to win their fight if it ever take's place due to his boxing IQ, reflex's, foot work, chin, and will to win.

On a side note that Dubois vs Lerena, fight was an incredible back, and forth battle, with Lerena almost knocking out Dubois, only to be ultimately KO'd himself.
Wow! What a fight that was, I don't believe that anyone saw that kind of a robust effort coming from either of these two warrior's, again wow what a fight!

Even if Wilder hits Usyk he wont even knock him down, let alone KO him. Being an actually in-shape opponent and not a fat or 40 yr old one will help him absorb like no one Wilder has fought as he has made a career of poorly conditioning opposition. And the turning and fundamentals will all take power away from Wilder. This fight is crap to be honest. But Wilder is still a hypejob apparently.
This. People act like Wilder beat some killers.

Wilder fought one man that can actually box three times and he lost three times.

Usyk will most likely make him look ******.

Deontay Wilder. The one fighter just about every one loves to hate. The one fighter no other fighter calls out UNLESS they have to fight him. Present Dubois or Deontay to Usyk and his team and I GUARANTEE YOU , they pick Dubois and NOT Deontay. If you have consistently put you money where you mouth is and bet against Deontay , YOU have LOST more then you have won!!!! Just saying.

the promotional wars have driven the purses up which has driven the sport to once again have the PPV model, and it’s worse now than it ever has been

Team Dubois are milking the situation hoping Usyk goes in another direction so they get a free step aside pay day, dubois is very limited. Dubois vs Whyte i would say is a 50
50 fight, only edging dubois based on whytes last perfomance. They dont want Usyk as its money isnt that great with a 25% split, and there hope of winning another title are very slim.. frank probz lobbying for a fury dubois showdown down the line... which wont market well when Usyk makes easy work of d.bo
