And as I suspected, the mentioning of Zhang vs Fury was once again 'Just somebody building a narrative'.

Joyce activates a rematch clause, but simultaneously at the same time Zhang is one of the main potential opponents for Tyson Fury.

Joyce really if he wants to get a title fight, this was the best move he could make 'It was difficult enough for fighters to fight him before his loss to Zhang, so trying to fight down another route would not be optimal'.

I just think Joyce has to win, not even in style 'Just get the win'.

This fight win or lose will most likely be a brutal fight for both fighters. I have highlighted and pointed out, that Joyce win or lose 95% of the time is getting whacked.

Joyce may well be burnt out even if he gets past Zhang, just like Dillian Whyte was by the time he got his title fight vs Fury.

But at-least if Joyce does achieve the win, he will be in contention for a title fight again.

Note: Many people over exaggerated the dominance of Joyce's win vs Parker, it was a good win 'But Joyce was whacked and beaten up in the process'. So coming into his fight vs Zhang, I was one of the very few people who did not back Joyce to beat Zhang 100%.

There were signs that Joyce can beat Zhang, but it will be difficult. Joyce will most likely prepared differently, and understand that he is getting whacked early on in the fight etc.
    I agree with this.

Joyce will beat Zhang if he can take him into deep waters and make his superior stamina count. But he may have to go through hell for 5 or 6 rounds to do it, and just pray that he doesn't get stopped again with facial damage before Zhang gasses.,

In that case we can`t get Fury - Usyk this year.
The oil money up for grabs in November would make a step aside deal very difficult to negotiate.

I can't see Fury's promoters offering Joyce any kind of deal that gave Joe first dibs at the winner, which is what usually happens in situations like this.

Zhang has proven in more than one fight that he's no joke, and if the old man's body can hold up, he'll surprise a few more contender's in the heavyweight division.
I don't know about all that crap, but there's nothing sweet about Zhilei Zhang, he's the one who's really Damn Wicked.
He's earned his prop's, and respect in the sport of boxing which isn't an easy thing to accomplish, and in the heavyweight division no less.Zhang in blue, his opponent's, and detractor's in red, his boxing career has proven this out, time and again.
The irony is that Zhang isn't even the best fighter in the heavyweight division, but he's displayed incredible heart, and power in the ring.
There hasn't been another Chinese fighter in the heavyweight division that has done this well.

How? He can't get away from the left hand, doesn't have head movement or much defense at all, he's abnormally slow, and he doesn't have one punch knock out power, so that takes away the puncher's chance. Joyce is going to take a brutal beating.

Time to look at the boxrec ratings again.
I think there will most likely be another month of speculation regarding Fury's next fight 'Maybe even more than a month'.

Zhang, Ruiz Junior, I am wondering whether any more fighters will be added to that list.

    Wilder, Sanchez maybe.

Noooooo Joe!!!! Big **** is going to break his face again, Joyce is just too slow and stiff to get away from the left hand. He's never had head movement, so its not something he's going to learn at 37. Its an accident waiting to happen, damn Joe.

Zhang v Joyce was a great match up. The rematch will be intriguing also. But Zhang v fury is probably more in demand now. So what the public want should probably come first, no disrespect to Joyce.
But make no mistake we want Joyce v Zhang down the line

Except for one thing: When has Joyce ever exhibited patience in the ring? You're asking a 37 year set in his ways with virtually no defense to patiently work behind his jab for half the fight. Not happening.
