How can they have a rematch clause when this isn’t a championship fight? ‍♂️

I have to agree with you. Getting to the late rounds unable to see seldom works out well.

I can see him averaging more than 70 punches per round, weighing a lot heavier, with a very high work rate, cardio rate and punch volume. In order to wear down the older, larger and stronger man.
Lol Zhang isn't stronger. Zhang isn't bigger in terms of height or weight. Zhang is natural 240 and so is Joyce. Joyce himself claims he is a 6'6 240 pound guy. Zhang comes in much heavier than he should and normally Joyce does too. Joyce came in light. That didn't make Zhang stronger. Zhang won because Joyce is slow and extremely unskilled. Joyce putting on weight won't make him faster or anything else.

Obviously in the last fight his face didn't hold up so doesn't matter if you can get hit by a rhino without blinking the doctors take it out of your hands.
I suppose the explanation is that Joyce is simply not a versitile or flexible type. However he does have tremendous amounts of durability, size, strength, heart to tap, and an uncomplicated skill set that he executes to perfection. For his part, let's don't forget that Zhilei Zhang himself has the very same history of "pedigree, all the coaching at olympic level with the very best".

The "Juggernaut" was still too slow and robotic for the Chinese heavyweight.. Zhilei still managed to buzz him several times throughout the fight; Despite Joe's attempts at outboxing him.

I expect Joe Joyce to go balls to the walls in the rematch. He is going to make it come down to a battle of wills and attrition. Whoever wants it the most shall win this fight.
