Yes Pac could retire without PBF on his resume. The only reason Pac would need to come out of retirement is if PBF gets off his backside, fights some really great names and overtake Pac on the ATG list and then Pac would NEED pbf more.

Hahaha if he beats Cotto and doesnt fight Mayweather...then he is ducking him without a doubt. They know Mayweather will make Pac look silly and average. But the question is are they willing to risk that for a HUGE payday? I say why not...Pac is already a HOF fighter..but this is a fight that BOTH of them need to define their respective legacy's. Freddie Roach and Bob Arum are more afraid of Mayweather than Manny is. Freddie is saying these things for leverage as well for a fight with Floyd.
Giving the impression that he wants Manny to go out on top, but he knows that Floyd would make Manny look as bad as he made Marquez look.

Pacquiao is blatantly ducking Mayweather, but when Floyd ignores Mosley's (Who's ranked ahead of Mayweather at 147) challenge to his face it's a business decision. Gotcha.
