Comments Thread For: Morrell: I Wanna Fight Benavidez Next; No More Excuses, No More Nothing; Let's Fight

LAS VEGAS - David Morrell Jr. will fight for just the ninth time as a professional Saturday night. The emerging southpaw is still listed by most sportsbooks as at least an 18-1 favorite to beat Brazilian veteran Yamaguchi Falcao in the co-feature before Gervonta Davis faces rival Ryan Garcia in their 12-round, 136-pound showdown at T-Mobile Arena. Assuming Morrell (8-0, 7 KOs) wins their fight for his secondary WBA super middleweight title, he knows exactly what he wants next.

Co-Feature on this huge Tank vs Ryan card for a reason, it is to showcase him for something Bigger

I think Morrell will fight them all, hopefully Ronnie Shields don't try to talk him out of sh^t, Morrell is not Jermall Charlo so STFU trying to get him to take it slow

Morrel says, “Right now, I’m 100-percent focused on this fight,” Yea right! Then what is this incessant talk about fighting Canelo and Benavidez and little mention of his current opponent?

I've seen Morell fight and he has movements reminiscent of a younger Ali. I give him a good chance of beating Benavidez.

He's doing it. He's fighting people that other boxers will be fighting at their twenties+ fights. He skip the padding record cab drivers. Ask ryder why he didn't fight him when he was his mandatory. The fight was done and only needed his signature, ironically, hearns said that he was moving ryder up in weight to face bivol. He didn't like what he saw at the caceres fight. The only upper echelon boxer that would sign to fight him is, you guessed, benavidez. Now, who do you think he should be fighting?

The fight didn't happen cuz Ryder was not getting more than 25%.

Morrell exposes Bumavidez. He moves like Plant but also hits hard and has better cardio.

                  Let's make the fight.

People who don't rate Morrell Jr as a serious contender haven't seen him fight. If these two do square up and the odds favor Benavidez, bet the rent on Morrell Jr. He's got just the right attributes to derail Red Flag.
