I keep seeing people suggest this guy for megafights, am I wrong or is this guy not 8-0? Do I have the wrong David Morrell??

Yeah, I think he's going to have a good career based on his amateur career and how he's looked so far against journeymen but all the claims of him being ducked are way premature.

Eye test. It is a little premature but when he's been holding that Regular title for quite a few fights now people will start linking him to the big names in the division. Him against Benavidez would be superb. Not quite sure what they achieve putting him in with Agbeko except getting his name out there with a KO. Uzcategui would've been better and if he KO'd him he'd have done something Plant didn't.

He's talented but still not ready for the top guys in the division.

Yeah, no need to mention Morrell. He needs more fights before he's ready for prime time. Don't worry. He's with the great protector Ronnie Shields, who will say no to anything resembling a threat. Ask Jermall Charlo.

To be fair Benavidez was on a journeymen tour before facing Plant and that was enough to label him a monster and Plant was facing killers like Mike Lee Subway and Feigensprout before Canelo.

              to be fair to me

I've pointed that out in the past. In addition The Monster failed a drug test and missed weight, losing his title on the scale. That version wasn't necessarily someone you would want to depend on to be your opponent for a major ppv event. Hopefully he has put all that behind him.

We'll see but I think his win over Plant was his coming out party and the big win he was loooking for.

As for Morrell, I think he's gonna follow the Bena and Plant blueprint until he gets a big fight and it won't happen this year.

The biggest mystery to me is Andrade. I wonder what he signed up for.

Morell jr is the real monster, tell me with only 8 fights who has fought three undefeated fighters, with a combined record of 136W18L, get this, after his first fight, the other 7 has been ko only three times all together. He's ready now and wants to do it. He's the most dangerous 168 pounder in the world. Again mention one SMW that has done that, present or past.
