There are interviews with Frank Warren and Alex Krassyuk online. If you want to know what both guys said about the negotiations, and about the rematch clause fall-out, don't just read articles telling you snippets of what was said - go and listen to those interviews for yourself.

I did that and this is what I found out:

Usyk and Fury both agreed to a 50/50 split last year. Fury asked for a rematch clause to be included in the contract and Usyk agreed. They would obviously have both agreed on the rematch split too, because both sides were saying that all terms had been agreed. But what the rematch split would have been if the first fight had gone ahead with a 50/50 split hasn't been revealed, so far as I know.

According the Saudi head of boxing, Fury priced himself out of the fight in S A by demanding more money for himself than the whole event would have generated for both guys. The proposed location was switched to the UK and Fury demanded a 70/30 split, in his favour, which Usyk agreed to.

It seems reasonable to me that, because the split for the 1st fight had been changed, the rematch split would need changing too, because they were both part of the same original deal. Usyk proposed that the rematch split should be 70/30 in favour of the winner, which seems like a very fair proposition to me. But Fury refused that and demanded 50% for himself, even if he lost the first fight. Usyk wouldn't accept that and Fury went on social media saying, "let's get rid of the rematch clause altogether"

Usyk then walked away from the negotiations. His promoter said the reason he walked was because Fury was being unreasonable and they didn't believe he had any intention of fighting on the agreed date.

Fury's trainer, Sugar Hill Steward, revealed that he hadn't been been told anything about Fury fighting on April 29th, which suggests to me that Usyk and Krassyuk were right, Fury had no intention of fighting on that date and they were wasting their time and money training and negotiating for it themselves.
50 50 split seems fair for both fights.

Look at the date of that article, its January 21, 2023

Look at the date of the coppinger tweet, its feb 1st 2023

So how does that article follow from a tweet made after it was written?
Thanks. But that still isnt a direct quote from Arum is it. Its Gareth A Davies saying "It is understood....."

      https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/21414...-arabia-fight/

Here we have Arum on 16th Feb saying the Saudis cant host the fight. But yet you say it was on...

To quote yourself, "are u saying that those arum quotes are fake?"

From what I can see, there was never a April 29th in Arabia other than conjecture. The only definate was that It was to be April 29th in Wembley. And its for that reason my point stands completely.

This one is simple for me.

Look at Usyk’s track record of fighting all the best guys on the road. Look at how he took 70/30 for the Fury fight.

          Look at who promotes Fury.

            WTF is this crap?

All this talk is weeks/months old.

We all know what the score is, Joshua won last week, looked crap and will have another 2 'warm up' fights because he looks CRAP and is crap.

Yes you are waiting your time because your talking **** and have no idea what I'm talking about. You say Arum said something then don't quote him. You keep mentioning irrelvenent dates to my point and generally seem like your defending against a point I'm not even making.

Now, I'm sorry if your first language isn't English, but you have not shown me once what you say is true and ignore my points completely.

Waste of time, like you said.

Usually in a situation like this both sides share some of the blame, but in this instance it was one hundred percent Fury's fault.

We all want Undisputed. I'm not sure any fighter or promoter really feels the same.

They can box as champion for good money, or they can can make great money once or twice but risk losing their status.

I truly believe it's going to take a belt landing with a poor champion who can be bought. Or it will need someone with a sporting mindset who wants to do something great.

Usyk isn't the former, and Fury isn't the latter.

                      .
thats the thing, we were not in the room for the saudi talks, u cant say for sure one way or another what was discussed between them as they made the fight which fury messed up, im sure they explored every option to get the fight made, including dates, the fight was always going to be around those dates one way or the other if these talks were happening in jan and feb 2023, that doesnt leave much time for the fight
