List of excuses when Loma beats Haney

So when Loma was the champ, a specific group of seemingly bipolar people were screaming that he was avoiding Teo because he would be carried out on stretchers. The injured Loma took the fight, didn't get battered (yes, he lost on points but still looked better than Lopez). Now these people are foaming that he took the Teo fight to duck Haney.

What's on the list of excuses when the one dimensional Haney gets schooled by Loma?

A prime Lomachenko would dominate Haney no question as he's the far superior boxer. However, he's 35yo and coming off a few disappointing results (plus the war distraction) whereas Haney is a decade younger and full of confidence after dominating Kambosos twice on foreign soil. Therefore, I give the edge to Haney 60-40 (who's also the bigger fighter and looking to move up) although he has looked shaky a couple of times e.g. Linares so is definitely beatable unlike Tank/Shakur. Great fight.

I'm a huge Loma fan and will be rooting for him, but I'm leaning on Haney getting the W at this point in Lomas career. I know Loma was out for a while with the whole Ukraine situation and rapidly went into a fight with Ortiz his sparring partner and won a close decision ,but he just didn't look like the same Loma who we're used to seeing. It could be father time catching up to him and maybe some rust and Ortiz knowing him so good from being his sparring partner , but if Loma isn't the same Loma from before in this fight he won't be winning. Haney is bigger and more reach and will Jab and hold all night winning a 116-112 type of decision. If Loma legs are fresh and he could turn back the clock a bit then thats a totally different fight.

there will be no excuses for either one of them, if u are not at the best weight then go, if u are injured then dont fight etc etc, excuses just make people feel better about a result

Hmmm, I hate to burst your bubble but there will be no excuses. Haney will get off from the outside, control the distance and the second Loma jumps in he will HOLD. This will be a very boring fight. Haney wins by holding. You’re going to have the excuses. I’m not watching it.

Haney better have better luck holding than Nakatani and Commey did... Loma is very good against people who try to clinch him. He's scored knockdowns when people tried to hold him. If that's his strategy to win, that makes it more likely for Loma to win. Just hope they both make it to the ring uninjured.

Have you ever done any clinch fighting, jiu jitsu, wrestling, Sambo, etc? Technique matters a lot more than size. That's why you can easily find videos of 100 lb women submitting bodybuilders. The vast majority of boxers don't know anything more than just tying up and MAYBE head position or glove position. There's a ton more that's legal in boxing that can really mess up a fighter who is trying to rely on hugging to protect themselves on the inside.
