Yea I always laugh when a tank Davis or other boxers who sound like they're legally regarded answer questions with "I have high ring IQ" or "you gotta be smart in the ring" or "im playing chess in the ring"

Yes. Absolute disgrace. In fact it's a disgrace that anyone, anywhere on earth would dare to speak any language except English. What's it going to take for these ingrates to learn their place?

i'm bilingual and it takes a crazy amount of effort to learn a language (i'm talking properly learn it not just being able to say some basic phrases and where you want to go on holiday). if a fighter doesnt think its worth going through that to keep you happy with a post fight interview (which are usually boring anyway) thats up to them

Are you? Nice one. Langauges were never a strung suit of mine. Can just about follow directions and buy stuff in a few different languages, bit of pillow talk in maybe a couple more but that's about it. Probably sound like a stuttering fool to the natives.

What other language you got then.

can speak spanish to a fairly high level although for sure is not perfect, teacher said i am around B2/C1 for speaking but higher for listening/reading. Writing is probably atrocious as i never do it aha.
Ah anyone can learn one mate (well, maybe not something like chinese/russian) it just takes a lot of time.
people assume they are just bad at languages because youve got 'gurus' online lying about how long it takes or promoting some weird, magical method which is the 'secret' to learning, a few of them have been exposed already (one guy did 3 months to fluency challenge and neglected to mention he had spent years previously learning the language already) stuff like that puts people off learning unfortunately
