Speaking of fighters from the same era....Carlos Palomino is the perfect example of this. Born in Mexico, became fluent in english, was a huge star in southern california and was able to retire early, and got into acting.

I wouldn't say that. But I prefer not to be around poor people for extended periods of time.

You might be right in the marketing angle, but it's not a disgrace. Some people have a hard time learning another language, especially if they're not pressed by circumstances. I just can speak for myself, when I came to this country (USA), I was barely 24yo, I got a job in Manhattan right across Madison Square Garden, the chef did the interview in Spanish but at the end, 15 minutes later, he told me that in 90 days we were going to have another interview, in English. I stop talking Spanish, Howard Stern was my teacher, along with friends and girlfriend at the time. I learned in three months how to communicate in English. Instead of 15 minutes interview, we spoke for 45 minutes, I got a raise and a promotion. So you're right about the money side, but it's not a disgrace, in South Florida you need the Spanish.

Poor people and their poverty languages make me sick. They are inferior to rich ballers like you and me.

America used to be at the center of the boxing world - all the money was here, so all the best fighters had to fight here.

That isn't how it works anymore.

What are you talking about? English is a global language. And newsflash, the biggest stars in the sport speak english.
