You might be right in the marketing angle, but it's not a disgrace. Some people have a hard time learning another language, especially if they're not pressed by circumstances. I just can speak for myself, when I came to this country (USA), I was barely 24yo, I got a job in Manhattan right across Madison Square Garden, the chef did the interview in Spanish but at the end, 15 minutes later, he told me that in 90 days we were going to have another interview, in English. I stop talking Spanish, Howard Stern was my teacher, along with friends and girlfriend at the time. I learned in three months how to communicate in English. Instead of 15 minutes interview, we spoke for 45 minutes, I got a raise and a promotion. So you're right about the money side, but it's not a disgrace, in South Florida you need the Spanish.Last edited by garfios; 04-02-2023, 11:29 AM.Comment
