We already answered that. Because it's payback for ignoring him before. Mosley would now earn A LOT of money fighting Floyd, and Floyd doesn't want to give him that luxury now that he's calling the shots.

Also, you still haven't answered my original question.

To be the lineal champ you have to beat the man who beat the man - that's why it's called lineal. And if the lineal title becomes vacant, a new lineal champ is crowned when the #1 and #2 contenders fight each other.

At the moment the lineal Welterweight title is vacant, and the #1 and #2 contenders are Mosley and Mayweather, respectively. If Mayweather wants to be the champion and regain the lineal title he vacated when he "retired", he has to beat Mosley. That's all there is to it.
      Dude!!!!!

It does involve the belts under some circumstances because it all starts with the undisputed champ {WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO} "The man to beat"

One can ONLY become the lineal champion by beating "The Undisputed Champ". The undisputed champ can have and can also not have in his possession all the belts when he is defeated. {Exceptions to the rule is when sactioning bodies strip champions} It doesn't matter at that point - for once he's the top dog in that division, he remains until someone defeats him. Thus becoming the Lineal Champ.

I agree also not only was his confidence gone but his mind was probably on what was going to happen after the fight than an the fight itself, now that he was exposed. I believe it did make it easier for Mosley than Cotto. Mosley still fought a perfect fight one way or the other though so props to him.

dont give me that nonsense alibi of not giving mosley that luxury of blah blah blah blah. man lets face it, admit it or not. floyds not fighting mosley because he was so afraid of HIM, simple as that. is that hard to analyze? its so OBVIOUS. hes afraid to lose and get embarrased by millions of people. Gayweather made a lot of excuses or alibis just to justify himself of not fighting mosley. and only people who have mental problem would buy that **** excuses. the statement he made recently is clearly a manifestation of fear and trembling from him.

In my opinion, Floyd has a choice between two beatable opponents in Pac and Cotto. I may just be falling into the trap, but i believe Floyd will fight the winner of this fight. It would be the biggest payday of his career if Pac wins, but a Cotto win would pull more dollar then a Mosley fight..........afterall, Cotto would have just beaten 'the man'.

Mosley is a big risk i agree, but based on talent, Floyd could beat all 3 men. Of course we know he isn't about the legacy though, so where the dollar is, Floyd will go. Shane in my opinion, doesn't have that pull.

I see all the Pac fans want this fight (Floyd-Mosley) to happen yesterday. My guess is they're hoping Mosley beats Floyd so that Pac can escape the beating he'll surely get if he fights Floyd.
I personaly want the Mosley-Floyd fight and after that the Cotto-Floyd fight and then the Floyd-Pac fight but with that said November 14 is around the corner so why not wait and make a decision then. If there is more money for the Mosley fight then let it happen but if the Pac/Cotto winner brings more money then that fight should happen.
