    I think it’s obvious.

Loma’s 35 with an athletic based style. He’s undersized for the weight class too, so relies on that athleticism to close the gap.

Ortiz isn’t that good too, it wasn’t long before Loma he was going life and death with Adorno.

It’s still a good win, Loma is undoubtedly a top contender at 135 but it’s nowhere near a P4P level elite win like Haney is absurdly claiming.
You skipped the Herring win? (No one is authority in boxing. Everyone has the same eyes, nose, ears.)

Yeah this is getting a bit ridiculous. I could see if these guys were cash cows and pulled a side advantage over all their opponents.

These dudes all do what is necessary to fight the top guys.
Usyk has literally fought every any and all challengers in their back yards since he was a prospect. I don’t get the hate. I also don’t get Inoue getting hate for the Fulton fight being in Japan. Steph knows that’s where the money for this fight is. I can’t wait

"They did this bs with Rigondeaux also and sat him on the shelf" lmfao no, what happened is Loma didn't even want that fight he said Rigo was too small, but the black fans made that fight happen. Rigo - Loma was touted as a 50/50 fight, with many making Rigo the fav, then after Loma made him quit the narrative was completely rewritten.

All the critique of Haney is valid. I wouldn't call his basic one two punch style pure boxing. He's a huge guy for the division and looks like a welterweight, while Loma barely gets credit for fighting 2 weight classes higher than he should. Loma is also clearly on the physical decline, and suffering from ring rust due the Ukraine situation.

If Haney wins it would be a good win, but nothing special. Yes it would be a better win than what Tank or Garcia have on their resume, but they're also hype jobs especially garcia who hasn't proven ****, so thats not saying much.

This is a huge upside in my eyes anyway. Currently boxing has a real shortage of fighters like that.

the downside is that Haney likes to hold, a lot. He's got that boring jab and grab method for winning that while effective, isn't much fun to watch. Some people actually hate fighters like that, or so I've heard.

It's when people who don't understand the lower weights chime in on Inoue that bothers me. "His best win is little old Donaire who lost to Frampton." Unbelievably infuriating to read stuff like that.

Loma seems to have lost a step but hes still s top level fighter, haney definitely deserves respect if he picks up a win against him.

Haney is great at what he does which is jab, clinch and land the rare occasional right hand for 36 minutes. He is not a exciting fighter to watch and he can’t even knockout the smaller fighters he’s getting fed to.

at least he wants the big fights but I’m not going to pay $60+ to watch his fights.

I don't want to hear about size when it comes to a former unified champion in the division.

Ortiz still presents the things that cause Loma trouble.
