Yeah this is getting a bit ridiculous. I could see if these guys were cash cows and pulled a side advantage over all their opponents.
These dudes all do what is necessary to fight the top guys.CharlieStewart likes this.

"They did this bs with Rigondeaux also and sat him on the shelf" lmfao no, what happened is Loma didn't even want that fight he said Rigo was too small, but the black fans made that fight happen. Rigo - Loma was touted as a 50/50 fight, with many making Rigo the fav, then after Loma made him quit the narrative was completely rewritten.
All the critique of Haney is valid. I wouldn't call his basic one two punch style pure boxing. He's a huge guy for the division and looks like a welterweight, while Loma barely gets credit for fighting 2 weight classes higher than he should. Loma is also clearly on the physical decline, and suffering from ring rust due the Ukraine situation.
If Haney wins it would be a good win, but nothing special. Yes it would be a better win than what Tank or Garcia have on their resume, but they're also hype jobs especially garcia who hasn't proven ****, so thats not saying much.Last edited by CharlieStewart; 03-31-2023, 11:32 AM.4truth likes this.

the downside is that Haney likes to hold, a lot. He's got that boring jab and grab method for winning that while effective, isn't much fun to watch. Some people actually hate fighters like that, or so I've heard.

Haney is great at what he does which is jab, clinch and land the rare occasional right hand for 36 minutes. He is not a exciting fighter to watch and he can’t even knockout the smaller fighters he’s getting fed to.
at least he wants the big fights but I’m not going to pay $60+ to watch his fights.Last edited by PRchamp; 03-31-2023, 04:41 PM.

Loma’s 35 with an athletic based style. He’s undersized for the weight class too, so relies on that athleticism to close the gap.
Ortiz isn’t that good too, it wasn’t long before Loma he was going life and death with Adorno.
Ortiz still presents the things that cause Loma trouble.
