As a boxing fan, and a fan of defensive, slick boxing, or boxers that used great boxing skills to win and can even be in ugly fights like Mayweather, Hopkins, Ward, Wlad, Fury, Lara, Rigondeaux, Lomachenko, etc….Haney is TERRIBLE to watch.

Awful ‘boxer’. I don’t even consider him slick, defensive, or highly skilled. He just clinches and throws weak jabs. Kudos to him for being great at that and so far making a career out of it Haney took the whole ‘most important punch in boxing’ way too seriously. It’s like the only punch he throws, in between all his grabbing and clinching.

You can tell why he does, he is well aware that his chin is super suspect and likely made out of glass, as old past prime Linares had walking like Bambi and deliberately holding and hugging like a little btch.

Please go compare Haney to his idol Mayweather when they got hurt by Linares/Mosley respectively. Look at Mayweather’s response the rest of the round. Look at Haney’s response the rest of the round.

loma has a sore shoulder (sick note and pics to prove it), hes small (smaller than arum even), old (almost 40ish), over the hill and tiny for 135 (how does he do it even) & was in a warzone, im amazed hes even ready for this fight at all

I agree, he does not have the most fan friendly style but he has grown on me.He has skills, came up the hard way fighting in hole in the walls in Mexico. Seems to want that smoke, agreed to every demand from Kambosos x2..Dealt w/ all the mind games they played w/ his pops and dominated gave him a boxing lesson in front of a hostile crowd..

I'm still not sold on this and I'm not entirely sure if people are saying this because they lost faith in Loma or to downplay a good win Haney will have if he beats him. Not you per say but I'm really not sold on the idea that a good pressure fighter who likes to fight on the inside just isn't a bad style for Lomachenko.

do people out there care so much for haney to get a dig in at him by getting at him v loma, haney is just some other guy, it was the same stuff with teo, teo is too big etc, it happens for most if not all fighters if u look, canelo is too small, benavidez is too big, bivol is this and that etc, its really just the same boxing commentary over and over again with different actors

I don't see any hate for him personally people just don't like watching him or his style which is fair enough it's not a very fan friendly style the hugging during the lemieux fight won't be forgotten for a while but he's still young and has plenty of time. I think Haney will win the Loma fight but if it was 3 + years ago i feel Loma would of taken it.

They have removed Lomachenko from the P4P lists purely to discredit Haney should he win.

Then the media, fans are salivating over Tank vs Garcia - Two serial duckers who have simply ran out of undefeated C level opponents and faded, little B level guys to fight so are now forced to either fight each other or get schooled and shown up for what they truly are vs Haney. Once again, the path of least resistance. Not to say its not a good fight but that is the real situation here. People are tired of seeing Tank vs these unknown, undefeated novices and if they ain't they damn well should be.

Kambosos is better than anything either of them have on their record as-is Loma even if he is old and that will remain regardless who wins until the loser bounces back and actually beats someone with a pulse.

They call themselves boxing fans but they don't support pure boxers who are credits to the sports, they just downplay them and give all the props to limited punchers who make careers out of fighting fringe guys and wonder why the sports dead.

Lomachenko hasn't even stepped in the ring yet and they are already downplaying him as much as possible in an attempt to discredit Haney.

They did this bs with Rigondeaux also and sat him on the shelf. Justified everyone ducking him and would overly praise the likes of Frampton, LSC, Quigg
his fanbase knows he will get his azz whipped. They are already making excuses. They know..

Ortiz apparently was a long time sparring partner of Loma. So Loma COULD be faded, or he could have got in the ring with a young up and comer who had seen all of his tricks through several training camps.

If he beats Loma he gets full credit from me. I recognize that he has top level skills but he can be boring at times. That is not hating but calling it as you see it.
