I don’t want Joshua to retire before he fights Wilder & Fury. I expect him to smash Franklin within a round or 2. If he somehow were to lose then I don’t see him sticking around. Why bother? It would be pretty obvious his desire to compete is gone. I can’t see this fight being competitive. I want Joshua to smash Franklin. Joshua by brutal KO.Last edited by joe strong; 03-28-2023, 03:27 PM.

Franklin is a in form fighter, and has proven that he is a solid contender.
If Joshua is able to blast out Franklin inside 2-3 rounds 'That is one of his best performances ever, outside of his Kiltschko win'.
Note: I am expecting Joshua to stop Franklin between rounds 7-9, and to win every single round on route to the stoppage 'For me that is the type of performance, I think Joshua should be aiming for'.
I honestly don't think there many fighters who would be able to blast Franklin out inside 2-3 rounds 'Wilder, Joyce maybe'.
I don't think Fury stops Franklin, but he would most likely win every single round in dominate fashion etc.
Franklin has been chosen for Joshua, to be beat down and stopped.
By contrast, AJ is/was a world-class fighter. Yes, he lost but he lost to one of the best boxers there is. He is bigger, skillful, and experienced and has the power to KO anyone. Why would you expect this fight to go to the later rounds? If this goes to rounds 7-9, that would be a pretty ordinary performance by AJ. He has KO'ed better opponents before in lesser rounds. This would mean AJ is no longer the boxer he was. Didn't he KO Kevin Johnson in 2? Dillian Whyte in 7? and Charles 'I walk this earth like a god' Martin in 2 who was the reigning champ? He has KO'ed the likes of Breazeale and Povetkin in 7? Is somehow Jermaine better than them? NO..he ain't even in that league and simply a part-time struggling boxer. What would that tell you about AJ's current form and abilities if this guy was to take AJ to rounds 7-9?
You mention that 'maybe Joyce or Wilder' could KO Jermain in rounds 2-3. Isn't that an acceptance that AJ is now below those two? AJ is here for redemption coming off two straight losses, so if he cannot make a statement, then he ain't redeeming himself. He needs to do what Wilder did with Breazeale or more recently with the Nordic Nightmare. That is how to make a statement after coming off a loss if you want to remain relevant. That is what cherry-picked fights are there for and if you cannot make a statement even there then what can one expect?
So, I don't know what you're expecting and why but to me AJ has to KO him within the first 2 rounds.

Joshua, don`t worry.
Fury casuals are already justifying your 2 losses to Usyk saying Fury -Joshua is bigger fight than Fury - Usyk.
They buy every sh.it they sell to them. they would watch Fury fighting Chisora 10 times. I am sure Fury against you is still a huge event for them, if if you had 3 losses in row lol.

Bit disrespectful to Franklin but i get it he already said he's only about the money for him now and if he loses to Franklin it will be nearly impossible to make him a cash cow again obv this fight is for him to showcase a highlight knockout and do a job on Franklin then he's back in the money.

Franklin is the type of boxer a healthy AJ should beat. Franklin is also the type of boxer that a damaged AJ will have a lot of difficulty getting past.PBR Streetgang likes this.

Heck, almost all of his opponents are so unknown, they do not even have a wiki page to search who they are. He was regular till 2019 after which he took a pause until he resumed in 2022 and is more on a come-back trail. He himself admitted he has been a part-time boxer who needed to have a full-time job to make ends meet. So, his resume is no better than a journeyman so far. Has he ever fought and beaten a top-20 guy? or even a known name? By far his only known name would be jerry Forest and only hardcore fans would know that name too.

But their fights would also be a mess technically, where they are also being hit with punches 'And making unforced errors'.
Franklin currently right now, is a better in form fighter than Chisora 'That is just a fact'.
I don't think Joshua needs to blast out Franklin inside 2-3 rounds 'Sometimes those type of performances, don't really show a fighters true universal form'.
I honestly think if Joshua systematically beats down Franklin, and stops him inside 7-9 rounds 'That is a great performance, and it is also a statement'.
Sure Joshua has stopped some very good fighters in lesser rounds 'But on route to those wins, his opponents were competitive at times'.
I personally would be looking for Joshua to execute a well rounded COMPLETE performance vs Franklin 'Systematic beat down, high level of skill in his boxing and winning all the rounds in dominant fashion'.
Nobody no experts or boxing pundits have demanded that Joshua must stop Frankin inside 2-3 rounds 'And this has not happened because, these people know boxing mate. And they understand that Franklin even while training part-time for Whyte, was able to be competitive and really push Dillian Whyte.
I have no idea why you are mocking Franklin for training part-time in the past, and having to support himself elsewhere. Boxing is a blue collar working class sport, so you better check yourself 'Everyone knows how the game works, so these are redundant points that you are making'.
The Jermaine Franklin that will be fighting Joshua, by his own admittance now? Is training like never before, because he has the ability and support to do so 'Franklin's game is going to be increased in levels'.
It is a solid fight for Joshua, but I do agree with you 'That Franklin has been picked, so Joshua can beat him down'. What we disagree on is what would be considered a good performance from Joshua.
Franklin is a solid enough fighter, his performance vs Whyte has proven this 'But any fighter that is aiming to be a elite level fighter, in my opinion should not drop any rounds vs Franklin and they should push for a stoppage win etc'.

Wait! After getting beat by Ruiz and TWICE by Usyk, you still don’t know what he’s made of?
