Benavidez is a solid fighter and he does have some good attributes.

But his overall skill level, is clearly not elite 'Alvarez is a level above him skill for skill, maybe even more than a level'.

This still does not mean that match up, is not competitive 'Because Benavidez's strength, aggression, power 'And ability to put punches together will help him be competitive'.

...I can legit make the argument that every fighter today in this ERA is overrated AF they all major flaws

Plant was out-boxing Canelo as well he does have a tricky style before he gasses and with a 22x22 Ring and Kenny Bayless help yeah Plant for sure won some early Rounds and help from Kenny Bayless also helped him survive

Hilarious how it is no complaining or big uproar about Plant's Clinching, Plant went into Survival Mode a bit as well a lot of Running and Clinching Literally and Kenny allowed it

so styles make fights, so Triangle Theories are a bunch of BS and the people who try to use them you can tell really don't know much about boxing

Benavidez is the new haters favorite hmmm wonder why.
So Beterbiev has 3/4 of the belts at his weight class, has fought every quality fighter at his weight class except one, has a perfect KO record, has never pizzed hot, has made weight for ever one of his fights but he’s pure garbage? Please explain, I can’t wait to hear this.

See the little difference...the little corrupt unfair differences.

Benavidez is a killer a true monster who was robbed of a tko win.

Thank that dirty corrupt piece of **** Bayless for that....but don't let it fool you one bit.

Odd, I thought his victory over Plant went a long way to proving he could hang at the top levels. Plant has champions grit and good skill. Skill without power can still take you to the top. Just look at Devin Haney.

I wasn't sure about Benavidez before this fight, but I'm willing to give him his props now, as I said I would. I'm certainly interested in watching him vs Canelo, if Canelo can show he hasn't slowed in his tuneup against Ryder. He'll probably have to wait for the Bivol rematch, so he should take Charlo or Andrade while he waits, and finish cleaning out the division. Then the 175 fights will be much more interesting.

there are certain attributes that are not glaring flaws, eg height or punching power etc

but slow footspeed and bad chin for example are GLARING flaws.

I generally think that things like falling in on your punches and letting your guard hand drop when you're punching as bad things also, but your opponent has to be able to take advantage.

175 will be really interesting for Benavidez. I think Joe Smith Jr and Callum Smith would make for interesting matchups before the champions.

he is very hittable. Those 2 are absolute murderous punchers. they would've slaughtered Plant

I think Plant is more likely to drop to 160 than step up to 175.
