David Benavidez Is Overrated...

Benavidez has very fast hands.

Benavidez has good stamina.

Benavidez has OK power.


His problem however is his foot speed. He has EXTREMELY slow feet. Slower than Canelo noticeably. He's like Andy Ruiz out there. Another plodder with fast hands. 0 bounce in the feet.

This is arguably the most important aspect of being a HOF talent and just a regular champ. Pac, Mayweather, Tszyu, GGG, Mosley, ODLH, the recent inductees ALL have fast feet.


The problem is with slow feet is that you can be easily outboxed. You saw a 1 handed pillow scrub named Caleb Plant outbox Benavidez for 6 rounds until he gassed again.

Don't judge David on a bad style match up. Not an amazing performance but he did the job and adjusted. This was not the best version. He didn't let his hands go enough.

The moment any impressive fighter has to work hard for a win, even though its still dominating, then all of a sudden the guy is overrated blah blah, these people have no idea of how the opponent's class is all the difference in whether they get run over or not. Its funny how guys rate fighters coming up blowing everyone away and think they going to do that when the class gets to the top, the vast majority don't they fight out UDs. A few small alterations like a smaller ring, A Smoger type ref and fight with a little less anger and emotion in trying to be all macho instead of just do it and then David running him over, lol boxing fans are weird.

You conveniently left out how the corrupt pos ref saved plant from what should have been a clear stoppage for David.

Just imagine corrupt Bayless reffing Fury/Wilder or Betterbieve fights he would have carried Wilder to a decision loss and Betterbieve would be 18-0-14 Kos instead of 18.

Thats Bayless style nothing to do with corruption at all, but if you don't understand what's going on during a fight and you live in a place where everybody is a thief I guess that's the common thought process these days.
