I expected domination from David I am disappointed. Even with the clinching, he was way too hesitant we barely saw any of his combinations. He held back way too much. Strange performance.

Hence the reason for all the excessive holding
The one to blame is Bayless who not only did not deduct a point from Caleb but not even a fughin warning
That’s bullchit 100%

Canelo has a habit of staying on the ropes. Its happened every single fight for the past decade.. Benavidez is the wrong fighter to do this with. So unless he magically increases his stamina issues which by the recent string of fights looks unlikely I can see him being broken down against Benavidez. Here’s the thing - Plant had great footwork in the first 5 rounds, a great jab, was tying up very well on the inside to stop Benavidez from getting off & stayed away from the ropes. Canelo doesn’t have any of those thing’s and fights the opposite. He has great reflexes and 9/10 will beat Benavidez to the punch in the centre of the ring for the first 4/5 rounds but he’ll be uncomfortable fighting backwards. Canelo is 5’8 @ Super Middleweight.. he’s not God, he’s never dealt with pressure from someone like Benavidez. Benavidez late stoppage or MD

Kenny Bayless must have bet some $ on Plant. He would not allow Benavidez to work inside, but he never warned Plant about clinching. Plant clinched enough to be disqualified. If Bayless would have allowed Benavidez to work on the inside, Plant would have eaten uppercuts, right hands over the top, and body shots, and he would have been stopped in around 6 or 7 rounds tops... It was great to him get his ass whipped for coming out to the words, "y'all act like y'all never seen a white boy b4". WTF was that all about, he's playing up race now? Plus that asswhipping was for doing that grave digger/shovel routine over Dirrell's body, and for being an arrogant prick, in general... P.S on an unrelated note, it was great to see Tekashi 6ix9ine finally get a tiny bit of what he deserves. May he earn compound interest on all he invested not only in snitching on ppl, but in bragging about it and being proud of it, and making it out to be a joke. His eventual demise will be instructional to future ppl like him. Back to boxing, that was a terrible job by Kenny Bayless, one of the worst jobs I've ever seen. He shouldn't get any major assignments for awhile. BS like this makes me realize how great Steve Smoger was. He never got in the way, he let guys fight. He will be greatly missed.Last edited by archiemoore1; 03-26-2023, 01:06 AM.Castilo likes this.
