Comments Thread For: Rashidi Ellis Refuses To Accept Villa Defeat: "I Just Want The Rematch Asap"

Activity hasn't always been the friend of Rashidi Ellis. However, after ending his near two-year hiatus with a first-round stoppage victory over Jose Marruffo in July of 2022, the speedy welterweight contender was hopeful that he'd parlay that momentum into big-time matchups.

Ellis boxed beautifully for most of the fight, but if he can't keep a pressure fighter honest, eventually he's gonna get to you at some point. A rematch will probably go the same way, but he has to find a way to keep Villa off of him if he wants to get that W.

        Would be interesting to see.

Rashidi Ellis would attempt to go for the knockout in this case, along with Villa who already be prepared with a gameplan having faced his style, both could come with intent with finishing the fight before going to the scorecards making this fight even more exciting than the original.

Though I wouldn't complain if it was Villa vs Ennis, either way.

If Villa's team wants it sure. but don't waste to much time trying to get the rematch. You end up wasting critical months that you could've been rebuilding.

At least he wants the rematch unlike guys like Valenzuela, Colbert, and Love.

            Imo , Ellis gets ktfo
Villa gonna put pressure from the get go and Ellis don’t got the power to keep him off
Ellis might even win the first few rounds by moving but that won’t last

I thought Ennis was going to fight Villa. That’s disappointing if it doesn’t happen and Ennis is just fighting another C level fighter.

Wasn’t that a rumor that Ennis vs Villa would be on the Tank/Garcia undercard?

The OG fight was close enough that I would welcome a rematch. But I think Villa slightly took the W. But it was very close.

That was the plan, but Ennis's team mentioned that it was already time to headline a fight, so they are likely to fight in June-July along with Jermall Charlo.

                    Roiman 'Eye Test Killa' Villa.

But I respeck Ellis for wanting to run it back.
