If I as an ATHLETE think I am the best in a specific SPORT, there is a certain accomplishment that helps me to justify it, via CHAMPIONSHIP of some sort. Yes there are specific athletes who financially are more comfortable than other athletes who are better than them, but history has shown that the BEST of the athletes in each era have accomplished a certain thing called a championship of some sort 9 times out of 10. It is ignorant to suggest that belts.....which are championships.....are irrelevant.

No where did I say that "having a belt meant you are the #1 guy".... I said that the belt is the accomplishment that every guy who feels they are the best....the #1 guy.....are trying to accomplish. That's not going to change just because a certain fan cares more about a specific fighter than he does the actual belt. How is that logic going over your head, or are you simply just trying to win a pointless argument?

And to say there are no politics in the World Cup, NBA playoffs, etc.....is to be naive/ignorant/lost to everything that is sports and competition. Each of the major sports involve BILLIONS.....and as an adult, you should understand that where their is $$, there is politics. Each of the major sports have had multiple examples in their history involving foul play, conspiracies, cheating, etc..... The best 2 teams do not always meet at the end..... Even in a tournament or playoff setting, there are/have been ways to advance a team that is more marketable than another team in a small market. One of the biggest knocks on Lebron James's 9 season run to the NBA Finals was that he was in a weak conference as the moment he faced an opponent from the opposite conference, his teams weren't so dominant.... getting swept or eliminated in 5 on 4 separate occasions. What about the conspiracies surrounding the Sacramento/Lakers series in 2002. There was a whole documentary on it and it was addressed by Tim Donaghy......a referee who was charged for placing bets on games he officiated and other things. Pointed out that he was not the only dirty referee employed by the NBA.... There's no politics in other sports?......Are you serious? You clearly must be a teenager or sometime..... That is a clueless comment to the definition.

But regardless......the comparison wasn't to the sports because the structures are different. The comparison was to the elite athletes and their goals within the sport.
You said imagine an NBA fan saying a championship didn’t matter. That’s a completely ****** comparison because you have to play everybody in an NBA season. You can win a boxing championship without beating anyone notable. It would be like the NBA ordering the Golden State Warriors to play some Euroleague team for the vacant NBA title in some cases. The comparison made no sense.

There are absolutely no politics in the tournaments, you have to play who you are drawn against. You don’t get Argentina saying we aren’t gonna play France in the final because Brazil are a bigger draw.

The comparison makes no f***ing sense.

Belts will always matter for a multitude of reasons. Draws are what matter when it comes to super fights.

Well it was bound to happen in todays social media era. One has a fanbase that doesn't care who he fights and the other has a bunch of women on social media so naturally they're getting excited for a fight that means nothing lol.

WBC and WBA would be enough.

Since we have 4 belts, boxing has become much worse. EVERYBODY can be a world champ nowadays.

I do think it’s simply a better fight as well, will definitely deliver more in terms of excitement.

No, YOUR ARGUMENT makes no ****ing sense..... I said imagine a fan saying a championship didn't matter because.......YOU a ****ing fan is saying that a world title doesn't matter. There isn't a single elite talent active in the sport of boxing who'll say something as dumb as, the belts don't matter, because clearly, that is what they are fighting and trying to achieve among other things. Titles are a huge milestone for these fighters.....PERIOD.

You sitting there ****ing at your computer trying hard to win an argument not realizing how ****** you sound. "It would be like the NBA ordering Golden State to play a Euroleague team"........

Mfer that is not the same comparison, because NO EURO TEAM competes against NBA teams..... One elite boxer can fight against an unknown C level skilled boxer... and then a year later another elite boxer can fight that same unknown C level skilled boxer... and the public will decide who's better based on which elite boxer handled that C level skill boxer easier...... It's the nature of this sport being that there are close to 2000 opponents in each division.

When Golden State plays JDA Dijon (FRA) one month and then later in the season you see Boston play that same team forcing the public to decide who's better based on the margin of the scores in both games, THEN you'll see me compare the sports..... But I AM NOT comparing the sports....I am comparing the mindset of the elite athletes competing in the sport. I'm comparing Steph Curry's mindset with that of Terence Crawford's mindset in what they are trying to accomplish while competing in the sport. But for some strange reason your silly ass can't comprehend that. Or maybe your husband or boyfriend doesn't allow you to speak and/or win arguments so you are just trying to win an argument in this conversation.....I don't know.

You truly are trying too hard to create a basis for you illogical assessment. At this point I've broken it down as much as I possibly can for you, so if you are still trying to argue something that I clearly am not saying then it's an obvious cry for attention or lack of comprehension.......

I've spent waaay too much time trying to point out what I see as "elementary" for you....

No you were comparing a boxing championship to an NBA championship which is ****** because the roads to get there are completely incomparable.

Ramble on all you want, desperately trying to justify it, it was a ****** comparison and you were wrong. Get over it.
