Ryan was the WBC interim champ and ducked Haney. Tank has been the WBA regular champion since 2019 and has never pushed to be the super champion's mandatory. It's easy to say belts don't matter when you don't want to get in the ring with the top dogComment

Think about it, Haney and Loma will fight just a month later for every meaningful belt in the division yet nobody really cares or at least they certainly don’t care anywhere near as much as they care about Tank vs Garcia.
I’m a hardcore boxing fan, but I’ll openly admit I’m way more excited about Tank-Garcia than any other fight scheduled.Comment

Belts matter but entertainment also matters.
Tank and Garcia is a fun match up and fight and does advance the career of the winner and possibly loser as well depending on how it unfolds.
Haney is the champion but there are are still meaningful contenders at 135. By no means has 135 been cleaned out so while he may hold the crown he still has challenges that are capable of dethroning him.

Haney would beat garcia and tank without any problem. He's too fast and too good for both of them.Comment

Haney would have to be perfect against Tank, he has the skills to outbox him, but he ain’t taking that power.
I think Tank catches him at some point.Comment

Not really
belts we’re never meant to be a measure of popularity
but in the cases of Haney-Loma and Davis-Garcia, the belts are definitely with the higher level match up. It’s a breakout fight for both Davis and Garcia who have yet to add a solid name to their resumeComment
