Belts don`t matter when Mayweather fights Mosley.

But these two nobodies....yes, belts would matter. I mean, I can`t pretend like these two are the best in some division. They are not.

It is not a big fight for me. I understand, this is a big fight for American casuals, but not for me.

It’s the biggest fight in the division by a mile. If Tank are Garcia are “nobodies” what does that make every other fighter in the division?

Better than these 2 thats for sure. Not a fan of Haney but he is undisputed and the ONLY champ that matters. Loma is still a top guy too. These 2 are divabois

Belts matter as in they add money, how much money depends on the fighters, not the belts.

Yet Tank vs Garcia is by far the biggest fight in the division.

That’s the point I’m making, despite Loma and Haney being more accomplished and Haney being the current undisputed champion, nobody really cares about their fight in comparison to Tank-Garcia.

I think that proves that in 2023, the belts don’t really matter anymore. We just wanna see entertaining and competitive matchups between higher level fighters.

The vast, vast, vast majority of the money depends on the fighters. The belts add little value financially to the big fights.

This fight is for the casuals imo. Davis is the more accomplished of the 2 but cRyan has the massive following. I mean look at Paul/Fury, it did sell quite a lot. Loma/Haney is more meaningful. But you made a great point.

I think this is a fight for hardcores too, two undefeated stars both in their prime. They’re the type of matchups boxing needs. When was the last time two undefeated stars fought at this stage in their careers? Usually we get all this marination bullsh** like Spence and Crawford for example, both in their mid 30’s and we’re still no closer to it ever happening.

I don’t get the YouTube comparison at all tbh man, a few people have mentioned it, but Tank and Garcia are both legitimate top 5 guys in the division at worst. Those YouTube nerds couldn’t win a junior ABA novices. I get Ryan has a social media following but he’s a million levels above the likes of Fury/Paul.
