Maybe boxing could police itself in this area and place a rehydration clause on all fighters. If you weigh in at 140 the day before the fight, you can't be over 147 day of the the fight. What we have with the current system is basically a built in system cheat. If you know what you are doing, you can drain 15-20 pounds of water out of your system in a few days easily. It makes lower weight classes total bull****. Because we often see fights where naturally smaller guys are fighting monsters in the ring on fight night.

No doubt Tank will come in feeling strong and healthy at 140-145. Meanwhile Garcia will be drained and he will not feel great. Ryan agreed to it, so there isn't much to say.

A standard 7 pound rehydration limit would at least make guys who are way out of the weight class go and fight against guys their own size.
Do you believe that fighters in any weight class besides heavyweight EVER get into the ring at the division weight limit? All fighters enter the ring at least 10% heavier due to water weight (rehydration). Adding a second weigh-in to force a fighter to remain in a dehydrated state is insanity and completely disregards fighters' health. Fighters make weight for a matter of hours. That's not gaming the system. That's the system.

After Garcia accepted the catch weight of 138, days later, they lowered it to 136- or Tank wouldn't take the fight. It seems Tank was doing all he could to discourage Garcia from taking the fight- so they could say Garcia ducked. But, Garcia agreed to 136. And then, at the very last minute, Tank and Team, imposed a 10 lb rehydration clause on top of that- or else, Tank wouldn't take the fight. So, even though handicapped by these stipulations, Garcia agreed, because he really wants this fight.

So, it was Tank ducking Garcia every step of the way, LET THAT SINK IN, until he got the advantages he wanted. Tank had never done this to any other fighter, even though, they love boasting about how Tank has always faced bigger fighters than him, that he's even knocking out middle weights in sparring, that he's levels above Garcia, that he's talented, P4P, highly skilled, possibly GOAT, etc.. But, fight night, by design, Tank will not be facing the best version of Garcia. They are terrified of the best version of Garcia.

Garcia has exposed Tank, without having thrown a single punch! He's exposed the cowardice of Tank and the real, deep down fear, they really, really have of him. The young Garcia, while not even in his prime yet, will be facing a prime Tank- while at the same time, being handicapped by the egregious stipulations imposed by an over-rated, over-hyped Tank. Tank and Team, through these, uncalled for stipulations, have demonstrated their lack of confidence in Tank beating an unrestrained Garcia.

If Tank does happen to win on fight night, the whole world will now know why- because Tank and Team, purposely weight drained Garcia so they could face a lesser version of Garcia. Through their own fear of Garcia, Tank has brought this on himself. They have no one else to blame but themselves. Tank has forever tainted his victory over Garcia, should he pull it out the win. And it will forever dog him. It will be a stain on his resume forever!

Of course, Tank fans don't care how Tank wins. As long as he wins. They'll continue ****-riding the over-hyped, over-rated Tank Train, until it gets obliterated at some point down the line when he faces real competition on an even playing field. And guess what, in spite of the unwarranted stipulations Garcia was forced to accept to avoid the Tank DUCK, even though handicapped, my money is still on Garcia obliterating this hype-train.

This young, exciting, and upcoming Mexican warrior, showed more courage and balls than Tank and Team, who had to impose all these egregious stipulations to give their fighter an unfair advantage. An unrestrained Garcia, 100% obliterates Tank- and they know it! And even though Tank- by design, will not be facing the best version of Garcia, my money will still be on Garcia.

If Tank does happen to beat Garcia, he WILL NOT be the face of boxing! Because, Tank and Team, purposely made sure they were not facing the best version of Garcia. Just the facts! So, if you don't like the facts, cry me a damn river! But, should Garcia beat Tank- HE WILL BE the face of boxing and doubly more so! Especially, after Tank and Team, purposely restrained and handicapped him. So, a win will be that much more glorious for Garcia!

I predict that Garcia will become the face and future of boxing! If Garcia doesn't beat tank this time around due to the unfair advantages imposed by Tank and Team- he will eventually beat Tank on an even playing field at 140, should Tank find the courage to defend his 140 pound belt against Garcia. An unrestrained Garcia, 100% obliterates Tank! FACT! And I further predict, that not only will Garcia eventually have a victory over Tank, but Garcia will also be the one who eventually dethrones and brings to a sudden stop the other two, over-rated and over-hyped trains in Haney and Stevenson. Just wait and see! You heard it hear first!
His fan boys will never accept your factual logic.

The facts could walk up to their door step, knock on the door, greet them, and tell em what's up and they would still act like the facts never showed up.

Funny how they ordered Bivol vs. Zurdo, Lara vs. GGG, Taylor vs. Puello, but not Haney vs. Davis! They were going to order Uysk vs. DuBois yesterday, but they came to an agreement! "Selective Outrage!"

I disagree. Fighters would unfortunately learn the hard way? That they cannot weight drain themselves under the same day weigh in rules 'Without consequences in their performances'.

Boxing under the day before weigh in rule has not been made safer 'I have no idea or understand how you think it has been made safer?'.

How can it have been made more safe, when Weight draining tactics have intensified within this modern era? You can go and research yourself and watch documentaries of fighters weight draining themselves and breaking down in the process.

'Show me those same type of documentaries or evidence that fighters from past eras under the same day weigh in rule were behaving in this manner'. There is no footage out there, because as I have stated the Toxic Weight draining culture is a modern phenomenon.

Fighters under the same day weigh in rule, during past era's were not systemically weight draining themselves intensely.

I don't understand your reasoning, unfortunately I think you have also accepted weight draining as a standard in boxing 'Otherwise you would have the view points that you have'.

If the same day weigh in rule was reinstated 'Fighters may try and continue with their weight draining tactics'. Those same fighters will find out the hard way, that this type of training culture is no longer conducive or professional 'It is not optimal now'. Fighters will be putting themselves too much at a unnecessary risk, and their overall performance and conditioning will be negatively effected.

Fighters will have to throughout all the lower weight divisions train and fight closer to their natural weight 'Just like the old school fighters'. And as a result of this, I personally think the purity of the competition will be improved.

apparently when tank and his team were discussing the fight tank demanded a rehydration clause, it got to the point where he started bawling crying & crying and there were so many tears for so long the team got concerned he might dehydrate himself

Because you guys claim to compete in the same weight class.

I hate catchweights and special bs clauses and such.
